Fits MegaFon Optima MS3B smartphone; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 1500mAh capacity delivers full modem and display power on single charge.
Connector seats flush into battery slot with standard smartphone contact alignment and retention tab.
We bench-tested the pack on idle standby and under sustained call load; BMS accepted input at 5V threshold and held 3.7V output stable across discharge curve.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MegaFon Optima MS3B — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the MegaFon Optima MS3B smartphone. It fits the original battery slot and restores power to calls, messaging, and mobile data functions. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.55Wh) — matching the OEM specification for this handset.

  • Optima MS3B fit: The MS3B uses a compact 64.30 x 49.50 x 4.50mm cell bay. This battery matches those physical dimensions and the 3.7V nominal voltage rail the phone's charge IC expects. A mismatch in either causes the phone to reject the cell or fail to boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MS3B platform. The BMS accepted the cell without a lockout event, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage taper without flagging an error.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Optima MS3B reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The MS3B uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its percentage readings from a stored discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual chemistry. The gauge reads voltage and estimates state-of-charge against the wrong reference, so it reports percentages that jump or stall. One full slow discharge followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and gives the IC a real baseline to work from.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — the modem transmitting or the screen at full brightness draws current the cell cannot sustain at that state-of-charge. The phone's protection circuit reads a voltage cliff below the safe threshold and cuts power before the OS can log a clean shutdown. It is not a faulty battery — it is the fuel gauge IC still running an uncalibrated curve from the old cell. After one full recalibration cycle, the gauge tracks the actual voltage floor and the shutdowns stop. If they persist past two full cycles, check that the terminal voltage under load stays above 3.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Optima MS3B won't power on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below 2.5V in storage and the BMS has locked out to protect the cell. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout and allow a normal boot. If the charge LED doesn't show any activity after an hour, check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flat.

Fast charging stopped working on the MS3B after I fitted the new battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge controller sometimes falls back to standard charging because the new BMS hasn't completed a handshake with the device's USB charge negotiation logic. Run one full standard-rate charge to 100%, then discharge normally to around 10–15%, and charge again. Fast charging typically re-enables on the second or third cycle once the controller has confirmed the cell parameters. If it still won't engage, check the USB port for debris — a dirty connector breaks the signalling needed for higher current delivery.

The battery percentage on my Optima MS3B keeps jumping around erratically — goes from 60% to 45% in seconds.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell and doesn't yet have an accurate discharge curve stored. It is reading raw voltage and mapping it against the old cell's reference points, which no longer apply. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown from a full charge — do this without fast charging enabled — then charge back to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single full cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline and percentage reporting stabilises.
