Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobistel Cynus E1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY26185)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original battery in the Mobistel Cynus E1 and MT-350b smartphones. It matches the OEM voltage, capacity, and physical dimensions (48.23 × 49.06 × 5.30mm) of the factory-installed unit. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a charge or shuts the phone down unexpectedly.
- Cynus E1 and MT-350b compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BTY26185 fits both without modification to the housing or flex cable routing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Cynus E1 platform. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, balanced cell voltage at 4.2V, and triggered low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold without false trips.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's actual discharge curve and prevents erratic percentage readings from the first session onward.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Cynus E1 after a cell swap
The Cynus E1's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell in its coulomb counter registers. When the modem transmits or the screen brightness spikes, current draw briefly exceeds what the IC expects at that state of charge. The phone reads the resulting voltage dip as critically low and cuts power — even though the replacement cell has capacity remaining. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle forces the IC to relearn the new cell's curve and eliminates most of these mid-use cutoffs.
Phone shows 100% immediately after charging starts on new cell
A freshly installed cell with no charge history confuses the fuel gauge IC — it has no reference point for the cell's actual open-circuit voltage curve, so it can report a full charge within minutes of plugging in. This is a calibration artefact, not a fault with the cell itself. Let the phone charge uninterrupted until the charging indicator clears naturally, then discharge it fully in one session. After that single cycle, the IC anchors its readings to the actual 3.7V nominal and 4.2V full-charge endpoints of this cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cynus E1 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's worn discharge curve, so it misreads the voltage under modem or screen load and triggers an early shutdown. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off naturally — then charge it straight to 100% without interrupting the cycle. That single pass recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new BTY26185 curve and stops the false cutoffs.
The battery percentage on my Cynus E1 is jumping around erratically after the replacement — sometimes it drops 10% in seconds, then jumps back up.
Erratic percentage jumps happen because the fuel gauge IC has no accurate discharge map for the new cell yet. It is estimating state of charge based on stale data from the old battery. Percentage readings stabilise after the IC completes one full reference cycle: discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the IC locks onto the BTY26185's actual voltage curve and the jumping stops.
My Cynus E1 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months before I installed it.
A cell stored without periodic top-ups can drop below 2.5V, triggering BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone won't respond to the power button. Plug the phone into a wall charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without pressing anything. Most charger ICs on the Cynus E1 supply a trickle current that slowly recovers the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the phone will boot normally.
