Fits MyGenie XR210 and XR210 Nestor cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part CS-KSB001VX.
14.4V Ni-MH pack at 2000mAh delivers 28.8Wh for standard cleaning cycles without voltage sag on filter-restricted suction.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; verify the tab seats fully before closing the dock door.
We bench-tested this cell across three charge cycles — BMS accepted dock current without delay and discharged cleanly under sustained motor load.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge; Ni-MH packs fade faster under trickle charge than cycled discharge-to-full operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MyGenie XR210 / XR210 Nestor — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the MyGenie XR210 and XR210 Nestor cordless vacuum. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original and restores suction power when the factory cell has lost holding capacity. Capacity is rated at 28.8Wh, matching the original specification.

  • XR210 and XR210 Nestor compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery platform with an identical connector and housing footprint. The motor controller voltage rail is the same across both variants, so one cell covers either unit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the XR210 motor circuit. The BMS held voltage under sustained suction load and tripped cleanly on simulated blockage current, then reset without manual intervention.
  • Dock charging habit on the XR210: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge is the single fastest way to degrade a Ni-MH cell. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it only when the pack is depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not always a dead battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. That extra draw pulls the cell voltage down early, which the motor controller reads as low battery and reduces power. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was fine.

Capacity fade from leaving the XR210 on the dock between uses

Ni-MH cells tolerate shallow cycling poorly when combined with continuous trickle current. A vacuum left on the dock daily can lose a measurable percentage of usable capacity within a few months — not from use, but from the charger holding the cell at float voltage. The fix is simple: charge fully, pull from the dock, store the vacuum off charge. Reload the pack only when you notice suction starting to soften.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XR210 cuts out mid-clean then starts again after a few seconds — what's causing that?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not a faulty battery. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor strains against restricted airflow and draws a current spike that exceeds the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts the cell off briefly to protect it, then resets. Remove and clean the filter — if the cut-outs stop, the battery and BMS are both working correctly.

The XR210 runs for noticeably less time than it used to, even with a new battery — why?

A restricted filter is the most common cause. When airflow is reduced, the motor draws above its rated current to compensate, which depletes the 2000mAh cell faster than normal use would. Check the filter and empty the dustbin fully before testing again. If runtime is still short with a clean filter, verify the charger is reaching a full charge cycle — the cell should measure at or above 16.8V off the charger.

The XR210 won't charge at all after fitting the replacement battery — is the charger compatible?

Some Ni-MH chargers use a delta-V detection signal to confirm the pack type before delivering current. If the charger doesn't detect the expected voltage rise from the new cell, it stops the charge cycle early or doesn't start it. Confirm the charger output is rated for 14.4V Ni-MH — not NiCd-only. Try a full reset by disconnecting the battery, waiting 30 seconds, refitting it, and placing back on the dock.
