This is a 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the NEC DX2E-DHAL-A1 cordless phone handset. It replaces the original cell when the handset stops holding a charge or talk time has dropped significantly. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly — no modification to the handset is needed.

By cycle four or five, talk time should align with what the original battery delivered when it was new.

A pack that has dropped below roughly 2.0V during storage may sit outside the base's acceptance window, causing the charge indicator to flash or show no activity. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly in the cradle — full contact on the charging pins is required. If the base still shows an error, leave the handset seated for 20 minutes; some chargers apply a trickle recovery current before switching to normal charge mode.
