Fits T-Sinus NS-3098 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM part numbers NS-3098 and BC101590.
2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full handset runtime on a single charge cycle.
Connector slides vertically into handset battery bay with positive contact on top; locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested this pack on a T-Sinus base unit; voltage held steady through full discharge without BMS cutoff.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require slow initial charging to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Sinus NS-3098 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NS-3098)

This is a 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for T-Sinus cordless phones using OEM part number NS-3098 or BC101590. It restores power to handsets that no longer hold a charge or have degraded significantly through age and normal use. Voltage, connector, and cell count match the original specification.

  • NS-3098 and BC101590 compatibility: Both part numbers reference the same 2.4V two-cell NiMH pack used across this T-Sinus handset range. Cell count and voltage rail are identical, so the base station charging circuit sees no difference.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through three full charge and discharge passes on a NiMH-capable analyser. The BMS held voltage within tolerance across all three cycles, reaching rated capacity by the third pass.
  • First charge on cordless NiMH packs: After fitting, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phones respond to slow trickle charging — the base station's charge circuit is built around that rate, not a fast top-up.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells ship in a partial-discharge state and don't hit rated capacity on the first cycle. A new 700mAh pack will typically deliver noticeably less talk time for the first three to five full cycles. Each full charge and full discharge adds recoverable capacity until the cells are properly conditioned. By cycle four or five, talk time should match or closely approach the rated figure.

Base station showing no charge or error light after swap

If a NiMH pack sits in storage for several months, cell voltage can drop well below 1.0V per cell — low enough that some base station charging circuits refuse to initiate a charge cycle. The base reads the incoming voltage, and if it's below the acceptance threshold, it signals a fault rather than charging. Place the handset in the base, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then remove and reseat it firmly. If the error clears, the pack has accepted enough trickle current to cross the threshold — leave it for a full 16-hour charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My T-Sinus handset loses range about halfway through a call — could the new battery be causing this?

Yes. When a NiMH pack hasn't been fully conditioned, voltage sags under the RF transmit load mid-call, and the handset drops transmit power to compensate. This typically happens in the first few cycles before the cells reach rated capacity. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles to condition the pack. After conditioning, the voltage should hold steady under RF load and range will stabilise.

The handset stopped pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — is the pairing lost permanently?

No, but some DECT handsets lose their pairing data when power is fully removed, which happens during a battery swap. The pairing is stored in the handset's memory and that memory relies on a small residual charge to persist. Re-register the handset to the base using the pairing or registration button on the base station — this is usually a 3–5 second press until the base enters registration mode.

The battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's going wrong?

If the handset isn't seated squarely in the base, the charging contacts don't make a solid connection and the base never actually charges the pack. Standby draw then drains the battery overnight. Lift the handset out, check the contacts on both the handset and base for dust or oxidation, and reseat it firmly until it clicks into position. A correctly seated handset should show a steady charge indicator light within 30 seconds.
