Fits NET10 Z665, Z665C, and Valet smartphones; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 1500mAh capacity supplies full-charge cycles equivalent to OEM pack before degradation sets in.
Connector slides straight in; no locking tab — seat firmly until flush with battery door.
We ran full discharge cycles on the Z665 motherboard; BMS initialized without fault codes on first power.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NET10 Z665 / Z665C / Valet — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the NET10 Z665, Z665C, and Valet smartphones. It fits the same physical footprint at 41 × 51 × 6mm and connects to the same three-contact board interface. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a normal day of use.

  • Z665, Z665C, and Valet compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements — one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Z665 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, protection thresholds fired correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without fault flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, run one full discharge-to-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The Z665 fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — giving it one clean cycle lets it remap the new cell's characteristics before resuming normal charge rates.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z665 after a cell swap

The Z665 fuel gauge IC stores the discharge curve of the original cell in memory. A new cell with different internal impedance hits a voltage cliff at a different state of charge — the phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped below the modem's minimum operating rail. The processor shuts down to protect the hardware, even though the reported percentage suggests charge remains. One full discharge-to-zero and back to 100% forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its reference map against the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. The Z665 charge IC pushes current into this higher-resistance cell, and some of that energy converts to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and fades as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone remains warm past the third full cycle, check that the charging port is clear and the charge IC is not stuck in a high-current stage — plug in, let it reach 100%, and confirm the charge indicator drops off cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my NET10 Z665 shut off at 25% after putting in a new battery?

The fuel gauge IC on the Z665 is still using the discharge curve it built for the old cell. When the new cell's voltage drops below the modem's minimum rail under load, the phone shuts down even though the percentage looks fine. This is a calibration mismatch, not a faulty battery. Do one full drain to zero and a full charge to 100% with fast charging off — the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell and the early shutdowns will stop.

The battery percentage on my Z665 jumps around erratically after the replacement — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old battery was removed and is recalibrating against the new cell's impedance and discharge curve. Percentage readings stabilise after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles. Run the phone down to shutdown naturally, charge fully to 100%, and repeat once — the readings will settle.

My NET10 Z665 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Plug into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.
