Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OnePlus 10 Pro / 10 Pro 5G — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP899)
This is a 7.74V, 2400mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the OnePlus 10 Pro and 10 Pro 5G. It carries OEM part number BLP899 and fits the internal battery bay on both variants of this model. Capacity rating is 18.58Wh drawn directly from product specification — not a web estimate.
- 10 Pro and 10 Pro 5G compatibility: Both the standard and 5G variants of the OnePlus 10 Pro use the same BLP899 battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The shared voltage rail and physical dimensions — 86.30 × 63.00 × 5.50mm — mean one part number covers both boards.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BLP899 cell through charge and discharge cycles on a 10 Pro board. The BMS accepted the cell, thermal monitoring stayed within normal range, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking the new discharge curve from the first full cycle.
- First-cycle fast charge protocol: After installation, disable SUPERVOOC fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC needs one full cycle to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Why the OnePlus 10 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The 10 Pro uses a coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC to track charge state. That counter was calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve over months of use. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour, so the percentage reading drifts — often reading higher than real capacity until recalibration. Run one full discharge to approximately 3.0V per cell, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge IC resets its reference points and percentage accuracy returns to normal.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement BLP899
This shutdown pattern means the cell voltage is dropping below the board's cutoff threshold under load — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. It happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't completed recalibration and overestimates remaining capacity at low state of charge. The modem and display together draw enough current to cause a rapid voltage sag the uncalibrated gauge can't predict. Complete one full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle; on that cycle, watch for the phone to reach 3.5V resting voltage before the gauge recalibrates and shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
OnePlus 10 Pro won't power on at all after the new BLP899 battery sat in the drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell during storage. Plug into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will re-initialise and allow normal charging to resume. If the screen stays dark past 45 minutes, try a second known-good cable and adapter before drawing any other conclusion.
SUPERVOOC fast charging stopped working after fitting the replacement BLP899 — regular charging still works fine.
The SUPERVOOC handshake between the charger and the phone's charge IC relies on the BMS reporting a stable cell state before the protocol steps up current. On a brand-new cell, the BMS is conservative and will reject the high-current handshake on the first cycle until it has baseline data on the cell's internal resistance. Run one full slow charge to 100% using a standard 10W charger or a laptop USB port, then reconnect the SUPERVOOC adapter. The handshake succeeds once the BMS has completed its initial cell characterisation pass.
Battery percentage on the OnePlus 10 Pro keeps jumping around erratically — went from 54% to 71% without charging.
The fuel gauge IC is using a coulomb-counter curve calibrated to the old cell, so readings during mid-range state of charge are unreliable. Jumps in either direction at mid-range percentages are normal during the recalibration window. Drain the phone to the point it shuts off automatically, then charge in one uninterrupted session to 100% using the supplied cable and charger. After that cycle completes, the coulomb counter resets its reference and erratic jumps between approximately 20% and 80% should stop.
