Fits OnePlus One smartphone, replaces OEM battery part number BLP571.
3.8V 3100mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to the A0001 handset.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with single locking tab on left side.
We bench-tested this cell in the OnePlus One charge circuit — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS on the first cycle with no boot delays.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — the fuel gauge IC must recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OnePlus One (A0001) — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP571)

This is a 3.8V, 3100mAh Li-Polymer cell built to the BLP571 specification for the OnePlus One (model A0001). It fits the original battery bay without modification and reconnects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge IC the phone shipped with. Capacity is rated at 11.78Wh.

  • One and A0001 fitment: Both designations reference the same hardware revision — same voltage rail, same connector pinout, and the same Qualcomm PM8941 PMIC that manages charge current and BMS communication. One replacement cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on the OnePlus One board. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering an over-voltage or under-voltage fault, and charge termination landed correctly at 4.35V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before higher charge rates are applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the OnePlus One after a cell swap

The OnePlus One's fuel gauge IC holds a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell with a different internal resistance is installed, the gauge's voltage-to-percentage mapping is off. Under high-current loads — modem transmission bursts or screen-on spikes — the new cell's actual terminal voltage drops below the shutdown threshold while the gauge still reads 20–30%. The fix is one full discharge to auto-off followed by a full charge without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets and the percentage readout stabilises.

OnePlus One not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the BLP571 cell dropped below roughly 2.5V before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge current to prevent copper plating on the anode. The phone shows nothing — no charging animation, no boot. Connect it to a 5V USB source and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until it clears the BMS re-enable threshold near 2.8V. Once the charging LED activates, normal charge can proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my OnePlus One still show the wrong battery percentage after I fitted the new BLP571 cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the OnePlus One uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. Swapping to a new cell with different internal resistance makes that mapping inaccurate until the IC re-learns it. Run one full discharge — let the phone power off on its own — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charge enabled. After that single cycle the percentage readout will track the new cell correctly.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the OnePlus One's charge IC runs at reduced current while it checks the new cell's response to voltage steps. This is normal BMS behaviour on an uncalibrated cell — it is not a fault. Unplug, let the phone discharge to around 15%, then reconnect the charger. Fast charge handshake typically resumes from the second cycle onward once the IC has logged one complete charge event against the new cell.

My OnePlus One gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several charge cycles. The charge IC pushes the same current into a higher-resistance cell, which dissipates more energy as heat during those first charges. The warmth drops off as the cell's impedance settles after three to five cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, or charge stops before 100%, check that the connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and amplifies the heat further.
