Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800F / SM-G800Y / SM-G800H — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BG800BBE)
This is a 3.85V, 1900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. It fits SM-G800F, SM-G800Y, SM-G800H, and related SM-G800 variants. OEM part numbers EB-BG800BBE, EB-BG800CBE, and EG-BG800BBE all cross to this cell.
- SM-G800 series compatibility: The SM-G800F, G800Y, and G800H all run the same 3.85V voltage rail with the same connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through full charge cycles on an SM-G800F. The BMS accepted charge current without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge correctly after one complete discharge-charge cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean discharge curve to reference against the new cell — skipping this step causes percentage jumps and early shutdowns.
Why the S5 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The S5 Mini uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its discharge model from the original cell's characteristics. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve. The result is percentage readings that lag reality — often showing 40% when the cell is near cutoff. One complete discharge cycle down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the IC to recalibrate its internal charge table against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated and the cell voltage drops below 3.4V under screen or modem load before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone cuts out because the hardware voltage floor trips before the software gauge catches up. It is not a faulty cell — it is a calibration gap. Run one full discharge-charge cycle without interruption, and confirm the cell holds above 3.6V at rest after a 50% charge before resuming normal use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The S5 Mini powers on but shuts down the moment I open a camera or start a call — is this a bad battery?
This is a voltage sag issue, not a dead cell. A new replacement cell at full charge can still drop below the hardware cutoff voltage when high-current loads like the camera sensor or cellular radio kick in simultaneously. The fuel gauge IC hasn't mapped the new cell's internal resistance yet, so it doesn't anticipate the voltage drop. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown and a full charge back to 100% — this gives the IC the data it needs to handle load spikes correctly.
My S5 Mini won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to a normal charger in this state. Connect the phone to a 5V charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone should boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
The S5 Mini's charge IC negotiates the fast charge protocol on the first cycle after a new cell is detected. On some units, the BMS in the replacement cell does not acknowledge the fast charge handshake until after one standard charge cycle at normal current. Charge the phone fully at least once using the original charger without switching cables or ports mid-cycle. After that first complete cycle, reconnect the charger — fast charge should re-engage at the normal 2A input current.
