Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A30 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP607)

The BLP607 is a 3.8V, 2400mAh lithium-polymer cell that fits the Oppo A30 and A30 Dual SIM TD-LTE. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell and restores full electrical capacity to the device. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 79.80 × 61.94 × 3.27mm.

  • A30 and A30 Dual SIM TD-LTE fitment: Both variants run the same battery bay geometry, 3.8V supply rail, and BMS handshake. One cell fits both. The flex connector and locking tab align to the same board position across the single and dual-SIM models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the A30 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, held the 4.35V cutoff correctly, and showed stable coulomb counter readings through the discharge curve.
  • First-cycle fast charge inhibit: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Running a slow cycle first lets it map the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Why the Oppo A30 reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The OS reads the IC's estimate, not the raw cell voltage, so the percentage shown can be off by 10–20%. One full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and forces the IC to relearn the new cell's curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue. Under peak load — modem transmitting, display at full brightness — the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the reported percentage still looks safe. The fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated to the new cell's lower internal resistance profile yet. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging, then check that resting voltage at 30% reads at or above 3.7V before concluding the cell is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Oppo A30 won't turn on after the new BLP607 sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has tripped into lockout. Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP607 dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the protection circuit cuts output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. If the charge IC can trickle enough current past the BMS lockout threshold, the cell will recover and the phone will boot normally. If the charge LED never appears after 30 minutes, try a different cable and charger before assuming the cell is faulty.

Fast charging stopped working on the Oppo A30 right after fitting the replacement battery — what's wrong?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some BMS controllers won't accept the proprietary fast-charge handshake until they've completed at least one standard charge cycle. The charge IC defaults to 5V/1A as a fallback. Charge the phone fully once at standard speed, let it discharge to below 20%, then charge again — fast charge typically resumes from the second cycle onward once the BMS has cleared its initialization flag.

The battery percentage on the Oppo A30 keeps jumping around erratically — 45% one minute, 32% the next — is the new cell faulty?

The cell itself is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against a cell it hasn't seen before, and the mismatch between the stored discharge curve and the actual cell voltage produces erratic readouts. Complete two full discharge-to-shutdown and full-charge cycles with fast charging turned off. After the second cycle, the IC will have mapped enough of the new cell's curve to report stable percentages. If jumping continues past three full cycles, check that the battery flex connector is fully seated — a loose contact causes identical symptoms.
