Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange San Francisco II — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3712T42P3h475248)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Orange San Francisco II (P736V / Blade II). It replaces OEM part Li3712T42P3h475248 when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the device shuts down unexpectedly. Fits the San Francisco II and San Francisco 2 interchangeably — same connector, same footprint.
- San Francisco II / P736V / Blade II compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (51 × 46 × 5mm), voltage rail, and connector orientation. The BMS on each variant accepts the same charge profile, so one cell covers the entire San Francisco II family.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a P736V unit. The BMS accepted the cell without flag errors, voltage held steady across the discharge curve, and the charge IC terminated correctly at 4.2V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The San Francisco II's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve — one full cycle resets that reference so percentage reporting is accurate.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the San Francisco II
The San Francisco II's modem draws a sharp current spike during calls and data bursts. An aged cell cannot sustain voltage under that load, and the BMS trips the circuit before the fuel gauge reads zero — causing an abrupt shutdown that looks like a software crash. This same behaviour can appear briefly with a new replacement cell if the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's discharge curve. One full discharge-charge cycle gives the coulomb counter accurate data and the shutdowns stop.
Device won't power on after sitting in storage
Li-ion cells left unused for months can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering a BMS lockout that blocks normal startup. The phone will show no response — no boot screen, no charging indicator. Connect the device to a wall charger (not USB from a PC) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the cell climbs back above the BMS recovery threshold, the charge IC takes over and the device boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My San Francisco II shows 25% battery then shuts off with no warning — is the new cell faulty?
This is almost always the fuel gauge IC reading from the old cell's discharge curve, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter hasn't mapped the new cell's voltage behaviour yet, so it misreads the remaining capacity and the BMS cuts power when voltage sags under modem load. Run one full discharge to auto-off followed by a complete uninterrupted charge — after that cycle the gauge recalibrates and the premature shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my San Francisco II jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — sometimes gaining percent while idle.
The fuel gauge IC on the P736V stores a learned discharge profile from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no reference data and estimates capacity from incomplete coulomb-count snapshots, causing the percentage to jump. Discharge the phone fully until it powers off on its own, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. That single cycle gives the IC a complete data set and the percentage stabilises.
My San Francisco II won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation.
A cell stored outside the device loses voltage over time, and if it dropped below 2.5V the BMS will have locked out to prevent damage — the phone sees no usable power and won't respond. Plug the phone into a wall charger and leave it untouched for at least 20 minutes before pressing the power button. The charge IC needs that window to push the cell above the BMS recovery threshold; once it clears that level the device will boot and charge normally.
