Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Plantronics Savi 7200 Office Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (212366-01)
This 3.7V, 240mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in Plantronics Savi 7200 Office, Savi 7210 Office, Savi 7220 Office, and Savi 7300 wireless headsets. It matches the OEM dimensions at 36.10 x 20.20 x 4.00mm, fitting the headset housing without modification. Capacity is 0.89Wh — identical to the original specification.
- Savi 7200 and 7300 series compatibility: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The DECT radio and audio codec draw from the same cell, so voltage tolerance across the discharge curve is tight — this replacement cell meets those tolerances.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Savi 7200 base station and confirmed BMS initialisation completed without error. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination at 4.2V and triggered undervoltage cutoff at the correct low-end threshold.
- First charge in the base station: Seat the headset in the base and let it complete a full charge cycle before taking a call. The base station logs the new cell during that first cycle, which is what the talk-time gauge reads from — skip it and the estimate will be wrong for the first several uses.
Why the Savi 7200 cuts out mid-call even with a charged battery
The Savi 7200 runs its DECT radio and audio processing simultaneously from a 240mAh cell. During a call, combined current draw spikes above the steady-state idle draw. If the cell has aged or was stored at low voltage, internal resistance rises and the voltage sags under that peak draw. The BMS reads that sag as an undervoltage event and cuts power to protect the cell — the headset drops the call. A fresh cell with low internal resistance holds voltage through those draw spikes without triggering the cutoff.
Base station shows full charge but headset dies quickly after swap
A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically 3.6–3.8V — not at full charge. When you seat it in the base, the charge indicator can flip to green before a true full-charge cycle completes, especially if the base detects voltage above its low-threshold trigger and stops early. The cell is not fully charged at that point. Place the headset back in the base for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle, confirm the indicator runs through its full charge sequence, and the talk-time reading will stabilise after three to five cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Savi 7220 keeps dropping the call around the same point every time — is that the battery?
That pattern points to voltage sag under combined DECT radio and audio draw, not a connection problem. As the cell discharges toward the lower end of its curve, internal resistance causes a brief voltage drop that the BMS reads as undervoltage and cuts power. A new cell with low internal resistance holds voltage through those draw peaks. If the dropouts happen consistently in the second half of a call session, swap the battery first.
The base station is flashing a charging error after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?
The Savi base station runs a BMS handshake when a new cell is seated, and if the headset was removed before that cycle completed, the base can hold a fault state. Remove the headset, leave it out for 30 seconds, then re-seat it firmly and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle. If the error clears and the indicator runs through a normal charge sequence, the handshake completed correctly. Confirm the cell is reading 4.2V at full charge termination before using the headset.
Talk time is noticeably short for the first few days after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong — a fresh Li-Polymer cell delivers its rated capacity after three to five full charge and discharge cycles, not on day one. The electrochemical structure in a new cell hasn't fully activated, so usable capacity starts slightly below the 240mAh rating and steps up with each cycle. Run the headset through complete discharge and full recharge cycles without interrupting the charge. By cycle five, talk time should match the rated figure.
