Fits Plum E700 and RAM 7 smartphones replacing OEM battery part number PM-BATE700.
Voltage 3.7V, capacity 1550mAh—delivers full power envelope for this device class without sag under modem load.
Connector seats into the original slot with standard locking tab; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We ran discharge cycles on a test unit; the BMS accepted initial charge without fault codes and held stable voltage throughout.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle—this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Plum E700 / RAM 7 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PM-BATE700)

This is a 3.7V, 1550mAh (5.74Wh) lithium-polymer cell built to fit the Plum E700 and RAM 7 smartphones. It replaces OEM part number PM-BATE700 directly. If your original battery swells, refuses to hold charge, or causes unexpected shutdowns, this cell restores normal operation.

  • E700 and RAM 7 shared platform: Both models run the same battery bay dimensions — 69.80 × 40.00 × 5.80mm — and use the same connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on E700 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection trip, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV phases as expected with no thermal events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first day.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Plum E700 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. The fuel gauge IC on the E700 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. When the new cell's voltage drops faster under modem or display load than the IC expects, it reads the remaining capacity as higher than actual — until the cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff and the phone shuts off. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and re-anchors the gauge to the new cell's curve. After two or three full cycles, the percentage reading stabilises and the shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone will show nothing when you press the power button — no logo, no charging animation. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC needs to deliver a low-current trickle to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, which sits around 2.8–3.0V, before normal charging and boot can proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Plum E700 shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is this the new cell or the phone?

This is a fuel gauge mismatch, not a faulty cell. The E700's coulomb counter is still calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve, so it misreads how much charge remains in the new cell. Under modem or screen load, the new cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the phone expects it. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the gauge recalibrates to the new curve.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

The E700's charge controller performs a handshake with the battery BMS before enabling high-current charge mode. On the first cycle with a new cell, the controller defaults to standard charge rate until it verifies the cell is stable. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle at the standard rate, then reconnect to your fast charger — the handshake succeeds on subsequent cycles once the BMS has logged a complete charge profile.

The battery percentage on my E700 jumps around — it reads 60%, drops to 41%, then jumps back up.

Erratic percentage jumps are caused by the fuel gauge IC interpolating against a discharge curve that no longer matches the installed cell. This is common in the first few cycles after any cell replacement. The fix is to let the IC re-anchor its reference points: discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge it to 100% without interruption and without using the phone heavily during that charge. After two or three cycles run this way, the IC settles and the percentage stabilises.
