Fits Plutour wireless cameras with OEM part number CANR-G15 for security surveillance systems.
This 3.7V 370mAh lithium-polymer cell restores motion detection and night vision operation in depleted packs.
Connector type and orientation match Plutour camera slot; verify locking tab seats flush before powering on.
We bench-tested the BMS with sustained IR LED draw; cutoff held stable across full discharge cycles.
On first install, power cycle the camera through the app so firmware registers the new cell before motion recording logs to cloud storage correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Plutour Wireless Camera — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CANR-G15)

This 3.7V, 370mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original CANR-G15 battery in Plutour Wireless Cameras, including OnReal and LifeCam variants used in home security setups. At 31.10 x 26.50 x 5.35mm, the physical footprint matches the original bay exactly. Voltage and capacity are matched to what the camera's BMS expects.

  • OnReal, LifeCam, and CANR-G15 model compatibility: These cameras share the same 3.7V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. A single cell spec covers the full range without any adapter or wiring modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through motion-triggered recording sequences and verified the BMS holds charge delivery stable through IR LED activation spikes without tripping undervoltage cutoff.
  • First-install power cycle: After fitting the new cell, power cycle the camera once through the app. The firmware must re-register the new battery before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause missed recordings even when the camera appears online.

Camera going offline in the app after a battery swap

When the original cell drops out completely, the camera loses its active session token. Fitting a new battery restores power but the app still holds a stale connection record from the previous session. The camera may show as offline or unresponsive even with a full charge. Re-add the device through the app's camera management menu to force a fresh token handshake.

App reporting 0% or incorrect battery percentage after install

These cameras use a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel-gauge IC. When a new cell first powers the unit, the firmware reads one voltage point and maps it to a percentage — if that reading catches a resting voltage below its top-tier threshold, it logs a low figure. Run one full discharge-to-charge cycle and the reported percentage will align with the actual cell state. The cell is fully charged at 4.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Plutour camera stops recording mid-clip even though the battery shows charge — what's causing that?

A mid-clip dropout usually happens when the camera tries to reconnect to WiFi during recording — the reconnect current spike, on top of active IR and processor draw, briefly pulls voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold. This trips a protection event and kills the recording. Move the camera closer to the router or reduce obstacles in the signal path. If the issue persists, check that the cell is sitting flush in the bay with no connector flex, which can cause momentary voltage sag under load.

Night vision kicks on at dusk but the camera goes dark and stops responding a few hours later — is the battery draining that fast?

Sustained IR LED draw overnight is the most common cause of this pattern. The IR array pulls significantly more current than daytime video, and if the cell has already been through many shallow cycles in the old battery, the BMS may cut out earlier than expected. With this replacement cell at full capacity, night vision should run through a standard overnight window without a cutoff event. If the camera still goes dark, confirm the charge was complete before install — the cell is full at 4.2V, which you can verify with a multimeter at the connector before fitting.

The motion alerts stopped triggering after I put the new battery in, but live view still works fine — why?

Motion detection runs the IR sensor and onboard processor together in a brief high-current burst each time a trigger event is evaluated. If the firmware didn't re-register the new cell after install, its motion-event logging state can be stuck in a suspended mode from the previous low-battery shutdown. Live view works because it draws current continuously and doesn't depend on that logged state. Power cycle the camera once through the app — hold the reset until the indicator light cycles — and motion alerts should resume within two minutes.
