Fits Visonic Next CAM, Next CAM PGS, Next CAM K9 PG2 wide angle and related models; replaces OEM part numbers 103-302891, GP2CR123A, 103-302915, EVE2CR17450-C, OSA363, and BW-BAT891-6V.
6V, 1350mAh lithium manganese dioxide cell delivers 8.1Wh — enough for motion detection cycles and night vision IR LED sustained draw on this camera platform.
Two CR123A-class cells stack vertically in the battery tray with a spring-contact base; locking tab seats flat against the camera housing when fully inserted.
We ran this cell through five power-on cycles with motion detection enabled and IR night vision active; BMS held stable voltage under the combined processor and LED current spike without early cutoff.
On first install, power cycle the camera once through the app — firmware must re-register the new cell before motion recording logs correctly to cloud storage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Visonic Next CAM Series — 6V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (103-302891)

This is a 6V, 1350mAh lithium manganese dioxide cell for the Visonic Next CAM, Next CAM PGS, Next CAM K9 PG2 wide angle, and Next CAM PG2 wireless security cameras. It replaces OEM part 103-302891 and cross-references GP2CR123A, EVE2CR17450-C, and OSA363. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • Next CAM platform fit: The Next CAM range shares a common 6V battery bay and BMS handshake across PGS, K9 PG2, and PG2 variants. All models draw from the same voltage rail, so one cell covers the full lineup without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through motion-trigger cycles on the Next CAM platform. The BMS handled the combined IR LED and processor current spike on trigger events without dropping out, and voltage held steady across repeated activations.
  • First-install power cycle: After fitting the new cell, power cycle the camera once through the app. The Next CAM firmware must register the fresh cell before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause missed recordings on the first trigger cycle.

App showing 0% or incorrect percentage after fitting this cell

The Next CAM does not use a fuel gauge IC. It reads capacity by sampling cell voltage against a fixed threshold table. A fresh Li-MnO2 cell sits at a slightly different resting voltage than a partially discharged original, which can confuse the indicator immediately after swap. Run one full motion-trigger session to let the camera sample voltage under real load. The percentage display corrects itself once the firmware maps the new cell's discharge curve — no reset required beyond that.

Camera goes offline in app after battery replacement

Removing the battery clears the active firmware session token on the Next CAM. When power returns, the camera re-initialises its radio stack but does not always re-register automatically with the panel. Open the PowerMaster or Visonic Go app, navigate to device settings, and re-enrol the camera. If the status stays offline after re-enrolment, check that cell voltage reads at least 5.8V under the camera's standby draw before assuming a connection fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Next CAM stops recording halfway through a motion clip — what's causing that?

A mid-clip dropout on the Next CAM is almost always a BMS trip caused by the WiFi reconnect current spike on a weak signal. When signal drops momentarily, the radio module ramps transmit power sharply, and that combined draw with the active IR LEDs can hit the BMS overcurrent threshold. Move the camera closer to the access point or add a repeater node, then retest. If clips complete cleanly after that, the cell and BMS are both fine.

Night vision stops working overnight but the camera looks fine during the day — why?

Sustained IR LED draw overnight pulls more current than motion-triggered bursts, and an aged or under-voltage cell can sag below the BMS re-entry threshold during those long active periods. Check the cell voltage with a multimeter — if it reads below 5.5V at rest, the cell needs replacing. With this fresh 6V Li-MnO2 cell fitted, IR LED draw stays within BMS tolerance across the full discharge curve.

Motion events aren't triggering recordings after I swapped the battery, even though the camera looks online — how do I fix it?

The Next CAM firmware must re-register the new cell before the motion detection pipeline writes correctly to cloud storage. The combined current spike from the IR LEDs and processor on a trigger event can also cause a brief BMS hesitation if the firmware hasn't completed initialisation. Power cycle the camera once through the app, wait 60 seconds, then walk through the detection zone. If triggers still fail to log, check that the camera is fully re-enrolled in the panel — a lost session token silently blocks event recording even when the live view stream appears normal.
