Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Polaris PVCR-0726W / PVCR-0826 / PVCR-0926W / PVCR-0930 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.8V 3400mAh (50.32Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Polaris PVCR-0726W, PVCR-0826, PVCR-0926W, PVCR-0930, and two additional models in the same series. It replaces the original pack when capacity has dropped to the point where the vacuum can no longer complete a cleaning run. Voltage and connector match the OEM specification.
- PVCR series compatibility: These models share a common 14.8V power rail, battery housing form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them is straightforward because the charging circuit on each unit expects the same cell configuration — four Li-ion cells in series delivering a nominal 14.8V.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the PVCR platform. The BMS engaged protection correctly at low-voltage cutoff and released cleanly on charge reconnection. No false overcurrent trips were recorded during simulated high-suction motor load.
- Dock charging on the PVCR series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. These units do not cut dock power once the pack hits 100%. Continuous trickle current accelerates cell degradation faster on this vacuum than on most cordless tools. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the PVCR-0726W
This happens when the motor draws higher current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. The BMS reads the surge as an approaching low-voltage threshold and begins throttling output before the indicator LED registers it. The vacuum feels like it's losing charge early, but the real cause is restricted airflow forcing the motor to work harder. Clear the filter and check the dust container before assuming the battery is the problem.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage — carpet pile, a clogged nozzle, or a full dust container — current draw spikes past the pack's protection threshold. The BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the blockage first. If the cutout keeps happening on an unobstructed surface, check that the filter has been cleaned within the last three uses and confirm pack voltage reads at least 16.4V on a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Polaris PVCR-0726W runs fine on hard floors but cuts out repeatedly on carpet — is that the battery?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. Deep carpet makes the motor work harder, pulling more current than the pack's protection circuit allows under sustained load. Clean the filter first — a partially blocked filter multiplies the problem significantly. If cutouts continue on clean carpet with a clear filter, measure pack voltage after a full charge; it should read 16.4V or above.
The vacuum now runs for a noticeably shorter time than it did six months ago — what caused this and can a replacement fix it?
Capacity fade this fast on a PVCR-series vacuum is almost always caused by leaving the unit on the dock continuously between uses. The dock doesn't cut power at 100%, so the pack sits under constant low-level charge current, which degrades cells faster than normal cycle wear. A replacement pack will restore original capacity, but the same fade will return in months if the charging habit doesn't change. Charge to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and reconnect only when the battery needs topping up.
The new replacement battery won't charge — the charger light stays off or blinks immediately on the PVCR-0826.
This usually means the pack arrived in a deep-discharge state below the charger's activation threshold. The charger expects to see a minimum voltage from the BMS before it initiates a charge cycle. Leave the pack connected for 20–30 minutes — some chargers will trickle until the cells climb above the threshold and then switch to full charge. If the charger still shows no activity, check that the battery contacts are fully seated; on the PVCR-0826 dock, a partial connection is enough to prevent handshake. Target pack voltage after a successful full charge is 16.4V.
