PROSIO SlimNeo XT1600 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 850mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the PROSIO SlimNeo XT1600 compact digital camera. It fits the existing battery compartment without modification and connects to the camera's BMS via the same contact layout as the factory cell. Dimensions are 40.20 × 35.30 × 6.10mm.

• SlimNeo XT1600 fit: The XT1600 runs a single-cell 3.7V architecture with a multi-pin contact strip that handles both power delivery and BMS communication. This cell matches that contact configuration so the camera can read charge state and manage cutoff correctly.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a camera BMS simulator at 3.7V nominal. The protection circuit triggered at the correct low-voltage threshold and the charge controller accepted a full charge without flagging an error state.
• First-install charge cycle: Insert the cell and run one full charge inside the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. Some SlimNeo BMS firmware maps the battery-remaining indicator during this first cycle — skipping it can cause the percentage display to jump or read inaccurately from the start.

Flash recharge lag causing missed shots on the XT1600

The built-in flash capacitor on compact cameras like the XT1600 pulls a sharp current spike to recharge between shots. At the end of a cell's usable charge, internal resistance rises and the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge voltage. The camera may still show a partial battery indicator while the flash is already struggling. If recycle time between flash shots is noticeably slower, check cell voltage under load — a healthy cell at rest should read above 3.6V.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the XT1600 display

The XT1600's fuel gauge maps percentage to a voltage-threshold table calibrated for the OEM cell's specific discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different curve can cause the indicator to skip levels — jumping from 80% to 40% without warning, for example. This is a display calibration issue, not a cell fault. Running two or three full charge-discharge cycles lets the BMS learn the new cell's curve and stabilises the readout.
