Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Y50 / 1935 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-M3)
This is a 3.85V, 4800mAh (18.48Wh) Li-Polymer battery carrying OEM part number B-M3. It fits the Vivo Y50 and model variant 1935. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell to restore normal phone operation across calls, apps, and media.
- Y50 and 1935 share this cell: Both variants run the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and charge-management IC. The B-M3 cell matches the physical footprint (88.10 × 63.55 × 4.85mm) and voltage rail exactly — no adapter or wiring change needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the B-M3 through charge and discharge under modem and screen load. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low voltage and accepted charge current without thermal events or premature termination.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after swapping this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The Y50's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle resets that reference before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vivo Y50 after a cell swap
This is a voltage-cliff issue. A new cell has a steeper voltage drop curve under high-draw conditions — modem activity, screen brightness, or background sync — than the aged cell the fuel gauge was trained on. The gauge predicts 25% remaining but the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load. The phone shuts down even though the displayed percentage looks safe. One full discharge cycle (down to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%) recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new cell and resolves this in most cases.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
The Y50's charge IC handshakes with the battery BMS before stepping up to higher charge rates. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may reject the fast-charge handshake until it has one completed charge cycle logged. This is normal protective behaviour — not a fault. Plug in via a standard 5V charger for the first full charge, then switch back to the fast charger. The protocol should be accepted from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo Y50 keeps shutting off randomly when the battery still shows 25% — is the new B-M3 cell faulty?
Almost certainly not a faulty cell — this is a fuel gauge calibration mismatch. The Y50's coulomb counter was trained on the old cell's voltage curve, so it misjudges the new cell's remaining capacity under load. When the modem or screen draws current, the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the gauge catches up. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption, and the shutdowns should stop.
The battery percentage on my Y50 keeps jumping around after I fitted the B-M3 — it went from 60% to 45% in two minutes without me doing anything.
Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it has never seen before. The IC uses stored impedance data from the old cell to estimate state of charge — that data no longer fits. Each charge-discharge cycle gives the IC new reference points. Percentage readings typically stabilise after two to three full cycles. Do not interrupt those first cycles mid-charge if you can avoid it.
My Y50 feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
Some warmth on the first few charges is expected. A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell dissipates slightly more energy as heat during initial charge cycles than a settled, aged cell does. We measured this on the bench — surface temperature stayed within normal operating range. If the phone becomes hot to the touch (not just warm) or the charge IC throttles down automatically after several cycles, check that the charge port and cable are rated for the Y50's charge current — a resistive connection at the port generates additional heat independent of the cell.
