This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the RoreLand XR-210 cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original pack when the vacuum loses suction early, fails to power on, or no longer holds a charge between uses. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original specification.

• XR-210 fit: The XR-210 runs on a 14.4V Ni-MH pack with a specific cell count and connector orientation. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical form factor. A mismatch in either would prevent the motor controller from starting the suction motor.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full discharge and recharge sequences, monitoring the BMS response during high-draw motor start. Voltage held stable through the inrush spike and the BMS did not trip under normal operating load.
• Dock charging on the XR-210: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the XR-210

Ni-MH cells lose voltage under load before their resting voltage drops enough to trigger the low-battery indicator. On the XR-210, this shows up as weaker suction while the indicator still reads normal. A partially blocked filter makes this worse — the motor draws more current to compensate, which accelerates voltage sag. Clean the filter first, then test; if suction still drops early, the cell pack has degraded and needs replacement.

Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause

This pattern points to the BMS triggering an overcurrent cutoff rather than a depleted cell. On the XR-210, sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to draw above its rated current ceiling, and the BMS shuts the pack down to protect the cells. After a short pause the cells recover voltage and the BMS resets, which is why the vacuum starts again briefly. Clear the filter and check for blockages in the suction path before replacing the battery — if the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the battery is not the fault.
