Fits Samsung Digimax L74W and NV-series compact cameras replacing original SLB-1137D battery.
3.7V lithium-ion, 1100mAh capacity delivers stable voltage for continuous autofocus and flash cycling throughout shooting sessions.
Battery slides into camera slot with spring-clip retention — connector orientation is fixed, no force needed.
Bench testing showed clean BMS voltage ramp on first insertion; Samsung bodies accepted this cell without authentication delay.
On first use, run one full charge cycle inside the camera body before heavy shooting — Samsung's battery-remaining display requires an internal charge cycle to map this cell's discharge curve correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Digimax L74W / NV100HD Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-1137D)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell built to the SLB-1137D specification. It fits the Samsung Digimax L74W, NV100HD, NV106 HD, NV30, and nine additional Samsung compact camera bodies that share the same battery compartment format. Voltage and physical dimensions match OEM: 45.85 × 33.75 × 6.60mm.

  • NV and Digimax platform compatibility: These Samsung compact models share the SLB-1137D form factor and a 3.7V single-cell power rail. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are consistent across the range, so one cell covers the full model group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Digimax L74W body. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and voltage hold across mid-discharge was stable with no unexpected cutoff events.
  • First-install charge cycle on camera body: Slot the new cell in and run a full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Some Samsung compact BMS implementations need that initial in-body charge to correctly map the cell's discharge curve and display accurate battery-remaining readings.

Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

Samsung compact bodies map the battery-remaining indicator against a stored discharge curve from the OEM cell. A new third-party cell has a slightly different discharge profile, so voltage readings at the same state of charge can fall outside the camera's expected threshold window. The body reads that mismatch as a depleted cell and throws the low-battery warning prematurely. Run one complete charge-to-full, discharge-to-cutoff cycle through the camera body and the indicator calibration resets against the new cell's actual curve.

Flash recycling slowing down or failing to fire mid-shoot

The flash capacitor in the NV and Digimax series draws a short, high-current spike to recharge between shots. If the cell's internal resistance has risen — either from a depleted original battery or a new cell that hasn't completed its first full cycle — that recharge current sags and capacitor refill time increases. At the end of the discharge curve, sag is severe enough that the camera suppresses the flash entirely to protect the circuit. Check resting voltage with a meter before shooting; a healthy SLB-1137D cell should read 4.1–4.2V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Digimax L74W shows "no battery" or a blinking battery icon the moment I put in the new cell — is the replacement faulty?

This is a BMS authentication check, not a dead cell. The camera queries the battery on insertion and, if it can't complete the handshake with an unrecognised cell, it flags it before a charge cycle has run. Place the cell in the camera body, connect the OEM charger, and let it complete one full charge from 0 to 100%. After that cycle, most Samsung compact bodies accept the cell and clear the warning permanently.

The battery percentage on my NV100HD jumps from 80% straight to 20% with no warning — what's happening?

The camera's fuel gauge maps voltage steps from a stored OEM discharge curve. A new lithium-ion cell has a flatter mid-range voltage profile than an aged original, so the camera misreads where it sits on the curve and skips indicator segments. This isn't a capacity fault — the cell holds full charge. Run two complete charge and discharge cycles through the camera body and the indicator steps will stabilise as the BMS recalibrates against the new curve.

I get noticeably fewer shots in cold weather with this battery than I do indoors — is that normal?

Lithium-ion cells lose usable capacity as temperature drops because ion mobility through the electrolyte slows down, raising internal resistance and lowering deliverable voltage. At around 0°C a 1100mAh cell can lose 20–30% of its effective output, which the Digimax body reads as a low-voltage condition and shuts down early. Keep the spare cell in an inside jacket pocket and swap it in when the camera warns — the cold cell will recover capacity once it warms back to room temperature.
