Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BF712ABY)
This is a 3.88V, 900mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the OEM EB-BF712ABY battery inside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. It fits the SM-F711B, SM-F711J, SM-F711D, and related variants of the foldable Z Flip 3 platform. Dimensions are 56.00 × 22.00 × 4.80mm — confirm against your original cell before installation.
- Z Flip 3 platform fit: The SM-F711 series shares a single battery bay and the same BMS connector across all regional variants. One cell covers the full lineup because Samsung used an identical voltage rail and physical footprint for every market build of this device.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Z Flip 3's charge IC and confirmed BMS handshake, thermal reporting, and charge-current acceptance at 3.88V nominal. The protection circuit responded correctly to both trickle and fast-charge current thresholds.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Z Flip 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Z Flip 3 uses a coulomb counter-based fuel gauge IC that builds its percentage model from the original cell's charge and discharge history. When you install a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge will display percentages that lag or jump because it is mapping new voltage readings to old capacity data. One full discharge down to automatic shutoff, followed by a complete charge to 100%, resets the reference points and restores accurate reporting.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold faster than the percentage reading reflects. The phone sees a voltage cliff — the cell cannot hold voltage under the peak draw of 5G or the foldable's inner display — and the BMS cuts output before the percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell; it is a calibration gap. Run one full cycle without fast charging, and the fuel gauge will anchor its low-end cutoff to the correct voltage point, typically around 3.40–3.45V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Z Flip 3 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
It is likely in BMS lockout. Li-Polymer cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a protection cutoff that blocks normal boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the lockout threshold, after which the phone will resume normal startup.
USB-PD fast charging stopped working on the first charge after I replaced the battery — what happened?
On the first cycle, the BMS on a new cell has not yet accepted the handshake from the phone's charge IC, so the device defaults to standard 5W charging as a safety fallback. This is normal behaviour. Let the first charge complete fully at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the USB-PD negotiation should complete correctly from the second cycle onward. If fast charge still does not appear after two full cycles, check that the USB-C cable supports full 3A throughput, as a cable limitation produces the same symptom.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it reads 45%, then skips to 60%, then drops to 30% within minutes.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve, and the mismatch between its stored model and the actual cell voltage is causing erratic readings. The fix is a single conditioning cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging turned off in Settings. After that cycle completes, the coulomb counter resets its reference points and percentage tracking stabilises.
