Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Samsung SS7550, SS7555, SS7550m, SSR200 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part DJ96-00142A and DJ96-00142B.
18.5V and 1500mAh capacity sustains motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag under normal suction loads.
Connector slides onto the dock contact plate and locks with a side tab; verify alignment before releasing the locking mechanism.
We bench-tested the cell on a Samsung charging dock; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion and held voltage steady through discharge cycles.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — Samsung cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade within weeks; charge to full and remove until next use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SS7550 / SS7555 / SSR200 — 18.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DJ96-00142A)

This 18.5V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part DJ96-00142A and DJ96-00142B. It fits the Samsung SS7550, SS7555, SS7550m, and SSR200 cordless vacuum cleaners. Same voltage rail, same form factor, same BMS connector as the original pack.

  • SS7550 / SS7555 / SSR200 platform fit: These models share a common 18.5V battery bay and BMS handshake protocol. The cell arrangement and connector pinout are identical across the range, so one pack covers all four variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the SS7550's motor controller under full suction load. The BMS held the 18.5V rail steady during peak draw and triggered protection correctly at the low-voltage threshold without nuisance trips.
  • Dock charging discipline for SS7550-series vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock contact on these models applies a trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade over weeks. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The SS7550 motor controller reduces power when cell voltage sags under load, even if the indicator still shows charge remaining. A partially blocked filter increases airflow restriction, forcing the motor to draw above its rated current. That elevated draw pulls cell voltage down faster than the indicator logic expects. Clear the filter and check that the dust bin seal is intact — that alone often restores full-power runtime before any battery swap is needed.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the dust bin is full or the filter is clogged, restricted airflow causes the motor to sustain a current draw that exceeds the pack's overcurrent threshold. The BMS disconnects the cell, the vacuum stops, and the pack resets once the draw drops. Empty the bin, clean the filter, then restart — if the cutout stops, the battery is fine. If it continues on a clean filter with a new pack, check the inlet nozzle for a partial blockage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SS7550 loses suction well before the battery light shows low — is the new battery faulty?

Not likely a battery fault. When the filter or dust bin is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down faster than the indicator tracks. The motor controller throttles power to protect the pack before the gauge catches up. Clean the filter and empty the bin first — if suction holds steady after that, the battery is working correctly.

The vacuum runs for a few seconds, cuts out, then works again after I wait — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a dead cell. Sustained restricted airflow — blocked filter, full bin, or a partial nozzle clog — forces the motor past the pack's current limit, and the BMS disconnects to protect the cells. It resets once current demand drops, which is why waiting briefly brings it back. Clear the airflow path completely and retest; if the cutout stops, the pack is functioning as intended.

The replacement battery won't charge on the SS7550 dock — the light just blinks and stops.

The SS7550 charger checks for a BMS handshake before starting the charge cycle; a blinking-then-stopping light usually means the dock didn't get a valid response. Seat the battery firmly in the dock, wait 10 seconds, and check whether the charge light goes solid. If it still blinks, remove the pack, let it sit for two minutes, and reseat it — this clears a hung BMS state. Verify the dock pins are clean and making contact before concluding the battery is at fault.
