Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung VP-X220L / SC-X300L Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SB-P240A)
This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion replacement for the Samsung SB-P240A battery pack. It fits a range of Samsung compact camcorders including the VP-X220L, SC-X300L, SC-X210WL, and SC-X205L, among others. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.
- VP-X220L and SC-X series compatibility: These camcorders share the same 3.7V single-cell battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The SB-P240A form factor — 57.25 × 37.01 × 14.01mm — seats and latches the same way across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on compatible Samsung camcorder bodies. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the protection circuit responded correctly to end-of-discharge cutoff events.
- First-install charge cycle on SC-series bodies: Insert the battery and charge it fully via the camcorder body before your first recording session. SC-series bodies calibrate the battery-remaining indicator during that initial in-body charge cycle — skipping it can cause the indicator to read inaccurately for several cycles.
Why the VP-X220L shows a dead battery icon on a partially charged replacement cell
Samsung's compact camcorder BMS maps the battery-remaining display against a voltage-threshold table tuned to the original cell's discharge curve. A new third-party cell discharges slightly differently across the mid-range, so the camera reads a lower state of charge than actually exists. This typically corrects itself after two or three full charge-discharge cycles as the BMS recalibrates. If the icon still misreads after three cycles, perform one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% in the camera body.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the SC-X300L display
Erratic percentage readings on the SC-X300L are almost always a voltage-curve mapping issue, not a faulty cell. The camera's indicator logic samples terminal voltage at short intervals and maps it to a percentage using fixed thresholds — a new cell's slightly different internal resistance causes the sampled voltage to jump around those thresholds. Drain the battery down to auto-shutdown, then charge it fully in the camera body without interruption. One complete cycle from 0% to 4.2V normally stabilises the readout.

Frequently Asked Questions
My VP-X220L says "No Battery" or won't recognise the new cell at all — what's happening?
The VP-X220L runs a BMS authentication check on every power-on. A brand-new cell sometimes fails that check on the first attempt because the terminal voltage hasn't settled after shipping. Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, reinsert it, and power the camera on again. If it still rejects the cell, place the battery in the camera and charge it via the OEM charger or camera body USB port — one completed charge cycle is usually enough to pass the authentication handshake.
The battery percentage on my SC-X210WL drops from 80% straight to 20% mid-recording — is the cell defective?
This is a voltage-threshold mapping issue, not a defective cell. The SC-X210WL's indicator samples terminal voltage and maps it against fixed thresholds set for the original Samsung cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell discharges slightly differently across that mid-band, causing the percentage to skip past several thresholds at once. Run the battery down to automatic shutdown, then charge it fully and uninterrupted in the camera body — repeat twice and the indicator should track smoothly across the full range.
My SC-X300L's new battery depletes noticeably faster in cold weather than indoors — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong — this is normal lithium-ion behaviour under low temperatures. Below about 10°C, internal resistance in Li-ion cells rises sharply, which reduces the usable capacity the camera can draw before the BMS triggers a low-voltage cutoff. The capacity returns when the cell warms back up. Keep a spare battery in an inside pocket to maintain temperature, and swap to the warm cell when the cold one cuts out — it will recover capacity once it reaches room temperature.
