Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark C3 Mini / SNC-C3 Mini — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (18650B4-3400-4S)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Shark C3 Mini cordless vacuum cleaner. It fits both the C3 Mini and SNC-C3 Mini variants and slots directly into the handle battery bay. Voltage and capacity match OEM part number 18650B4-3400-4S.
- C3 Mini and SNC-C3 Mini compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use the same battery bay connector and BMS handshake, so one cell fits the full platform without any wiring or fitting differences.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the C3 Mini platform. The BMS responded correctly to the charger handshake, held full voltage under motor load, and triggered protection cutoff only at rated low-cell threshold — no false trips.
- Dock charging habit on the C3 Mini: The C3 Mini's charging dock has no automatic cut-off once the cell reaches full charge. Leaving the vacuum seated on the dock permanently feeds a trickle current into the pack. Remove it from the dock once the indicator shows full to slow capacity fade.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The C3 Mini's motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder against back-pressure, pulling above its rated current draw. The BMS reads that surge as a voltage sag on the cell and begins throttling output before the battery itself is actually depleted. The indicator still shows charge remaining because cell voltage hasn't hit the cutoff threshold — the motor is just being starved. Clean the filter first; if suction recovers to full strength, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction causes current draw to exceed the pack's rated limit, the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells. After a short pause, the cell voltage recovers and the BMS resets, allowing the motor to restart. The cycle repeats if the restriction isn't cleared. Check the filter and brush-roll for blockages — if the cutout stops after clearing them, the pack is functioning correctly. If cutouts persist with a clean filter, confirm resting cell voltage sits above 12V with a multimeter before replacing the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Shark C3 Mini has noticeably less suction than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows it's charged — what's causing that?
A degraded cell loses voltage faster under motor load even if it reads as charged at rest. As the pack ages, internal resistance rises and the motor voltage sags the moment you apply sustained suction — the indicator reflects open-circuit voltage, not what the cell actually delivers under load. Start by ruling out the filter: a blocked filter mimics this exact symptom by forcing the motor to draw more current. If suction is still weak after a thorough filter clean, the pack has likely faded and a replacement cell should restore full motor output.
My C3 Mini used to clean a full room on one charge, but now it cuts out well before the job is done — could leaving it on the dock have caused this?
Yes — this is one of the most common causes of premature capacity fade in dock-charged vacuums. The C3 Mini's dock continues to trickle current into the pack after it reaches full charge, and sustained trickle charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle use. Over weeks of continuous docking, the usable capacity shrinks noticeably. With a new pack, charge to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it to the dock when the battery is depleted.
The new replacement battery won't charge on my C3 Mini dock — the indicator just blinks or does nothing. Is the dock the problem?
The C3 Mini charger expects a BMS handshake signal from the pack before it begins charging. If the replacement cell's BMS has entered deep-discharge protection — which can happen during shipping or long storage — the dock won't initiate a charge cycle. Take the battery off the dock, wait two minutes, and reseat it firmly to trigger a fresh handshake attempt. If it still won't charge, check the dock's contact pins for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth; dirty contacts break the signal the BMS needs to authorise charging.
