Fits Shark Evopower System Flex CS501J and replaces OEM part XSBT330.
11.1V and 3000mAh capacity sustains full motor torque on carpet without voltage sag.
Slide connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
Bench tested on the CS501J — BMS accepted charge from stock dock and held voltage under sustained motor load.
Do not leave this pack on the charging dock after reaching full capacity — cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade within weeks.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark Evopower System Flex CS501J — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XSBT330)

This 11.1V 3000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the XSBT330 and XSBT330AS packs used in the Shark Evopower System Flex range. It fits the CS501J, CS401J, CS200J, and WS632 among others. Voltage and capacity match the original spec — no modifications needed to fit or operate.

  • Evopower System Flex platform compatibility: The CS501J, CS401J, CS200J, and WS632 share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture and XSBT330 connector format. The BMS handshake across these models is consistent, so one cell pack covers the full group without pinout differences or firmware conflicts.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the CS501J. The BMS held the overcurrent trip threshold within spec during motor start, and cell balance across all three cells stayed within 30mV at full charge.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the Evopower Flex: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. The Evopower Flex dock does not cut trickle current once the pack is full, which accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full and remove the unit from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the motor labours against a partial blockage or a clogged filter, current draw spikes and pack voltage drops temporarily below the motor controller's threshold — triggering a power reduction before the indicator registers low. The battery still holds charge; the filter restriction is forcing the motor to pull harder than it should. Clear the filter and check the brush roll for obstructions, then retest. If suction recovers immediately, the cell is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and restarts after a few seconds

This is the BMS overcurrent protection tripping, not a faulty cell. On sustained restricted suction — usually a blocked filter or jammed brush roll — motor draw exceeds the BMS current limit and the pack shuts output momentarily to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically after a short cooldown, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Clean the filter, clear the brush roll, and confirm the post-filter is seated correctly. If the cutout stops after clearing the blockage, the pack is operating as intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

The suction on my CS501J drops off well before the battery light shows low — is the replacement battery weak?

Unlikely. Suction loss before the low-battery indicator is almost always voltage sag under load, not a depleted cell. A clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which temporarily pulls pack voltage down below the motor controller's cut-in threshold — even on a full charge. Clear the foam and felt filters, check the brush roll for hair wrap, then retest. If suction holds steady after cleaning, the battery is not the problem.

My CS501J keeps cutting out mid-clean and then restarts after a few seconds on its own — what is causing that?

That cycling behaviour is the BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself. When a blocked filter or jammed brush roll causes sustained high motor draw, the BMS shuts output to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. It is a protection function, not a defect. Remove the brush roll, clean all three filter stages, and confirm the cyclone and bin are seated correctly — then run again and check whether the cutout stops.

My replacement XSBT330 battery is fading noticeably after only a few months — what went wrong?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on the Evopower Flex range. The dock does not cut trickle current once the pack hits full charge, so cells held at 100% for extended periods degrade faster than cells that are only charged on demand. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete. Going forward, charge only when the pack is depleted and disconnect when the indicator shows full — this alone significantly slows cell degradation.
