Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens Gigaset SL78H / SL780 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (V30145-K1310-X444)
This 3.7V, 830mAh (3.07Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the factory pack in the Siemens Gigaset SL78H cordless handset and its close variants. It fits the SL780, SL785, and SL788 alongside 30 additional Gigaset models sharing the same form factor and connector. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM specification exactly: 52.95 × 35.10 × 4.50mm.
- SL78H / SL780 / SL785 / SL788 compatibility: These handsets share the same 3.7V single-cell rail, identical JST-style connector, and a BMS that accepts the same charge termination voltage. A battery from any one of these models will seat and communicate correctly in the others.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the SL78H handset. The BMS accepted the charge curve without tripping an error, and the base station cleared its charge indicator light as expected on each run.
- First-charge protocol for DECT handsets: Place the handset in the base immediately after fitting this battery and leave it there for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in storage state need that initial slow charge to register correctly with the handset's fuel gauge circuit.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
This is normal for the first three to five cycles. The handset's fuel gauge calibrates itself against actual charge and discharge data, and a new cell needs several full cycles before that calibration is accurate. Until then, the gauge may cut off the handset early even if residual charge remains in the cell. Run three complete charge-to-cutoff cycles in normal use and the reported capacity will stabilise at the rated 830mAh.
Base station showing no charge light after fitting the new battery
A battery shipped in storage state can sit below the acceptance threshold the base station uses to begin its charge cycle — typically around 3.0V for a single Li-ion cell. The base sees a voltage it does not recognise as a flat-but-healthy cell and withholds current. Seat the handset firmly in the base, then leave it undisturbed for 30 minutes. If the charge light still does not appear, remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it — this resets the base's detection circuit and usually clears the issue.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Gigaset SL78H pairs fine but the range dropped noticeably after fitting the new battery — why?
Range on a DECT handset is tied directly to RF transmit power, and transmit power draws a short, sharp current spike that a low or poorly calibrated cell handles badly. If the battery voltage sags under that RF load, the handset's transmit power drops to protect the cell, and range shrinks. Run three full charge-to-cutoff cycles so the cell reaches its rated 830mAh and the voltage holds more steadily under load — range should recover to normal after that.
The handset lost its pairing with the base when I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?
Removing the battery cuts power completely, and some Gigaset DECT handsets clear their pairing memory when power is fully lost. The base station stores the paired device list independently, so the fix is to re-register the handset rather than replace anything. On most SL-series bases, press and hold the paging button on the base for around 3 seconds to open the registration window, then follow the handset menu to re-register — the process takes under two minutes.
The handset is fully charged but drains completely overnight while sitting in standby — is the battery faulty?
This is a standby draw issue, not a capacity fault. The Gigaset SL78H draws a small but continuous current in standby to maintain DECT registration with the base, and if the handset is not properly seated in the charging cradle, it runs on battery the entire time rather than drawing from the base. Check that the handset clicks fully into the cradle and that the charge contact on the base is clean — a light wipe with a dry cloth removes oxidation that breaks the charging circuit. If seating is confirmed and the drain continues, check the base power adapter is delivering the correct output voltage.
