Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gigaset SL800H Pro / SL750H Pro Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 830mAh Li-ion battery replaces the internal pack in the Gigaset SL800H Pro cordless handset and several related models in the SL series. It fits the SL800H Pro, SL750H Pro, SL610 Pro, SL400H, and four additional variants. When the original cell no longer holds charge, this pack restores the handset to normal operation.
- SL-series handset compatibility: These Gigaset models share the same slim 3.7V Li-ion cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The SL800H Pro and SL750H Pro both draw from the same base-station charge circuit, so one battery spec covers the full group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SL800H Pro platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault codes, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no false shutdowns at full draw.
- First-charge protocol for Li-ion cordless handsets: After fitting the new cell, seat the handset in the base cradle and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle before first use. The SL800H Pro's charge circuit uses a slow trickle phase that Li-ion cells need to reach rated capacity from a storage state of charge.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
A new Li-ion cell ships at partial charge — typically 40–60% — and the first full cycle rarely delivers rated capacity straight away. The SL800H Pro's power management reads state of charge from voltage curves, which are skewed until the cell has been fully cycled two or three times. Run the handset from a full charge down to auto-shutdown, then return it to the base for a full recharge. Capacity stabilises after three to five of these cycles.
Handset loses pairing with the base station after battery swap
Removing power from a DECT handset clears the volatile memory that holds the base station pairing record on some Gigaset models. The SL800H Pro stores pairing data in non-volatile flash, but a prolonged power gap during the swap can still trigger a re-registration prompt. Go to the handset menu, select Register Handset, and enter the base PIN — the factory default is 0000 on most Gigaset bases. Once re-registered, the handset resumes normal operation on the same base line.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Gigaset SL800H Pro base station shows no charge light after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?
A Li-ion cell shipped in storage state of charge can sit below the voltage threshold the base cradle expects before it begins the charge cycle. Seat the handset firmly in the cradle, confirm the contacts are clean and making full contact, then leave it for 15 minutes — the base charge circuit will detect the rising cell voltage and the charge indicator will activate. If the light still does not appear, wipe both the handset and cradle contacts with a dry cloth and reseat.
The SL800H Pro handset drains flat overnight even though I put it back in the base — is the battery faulty?
This is almost always a seating issue, not a faulty cell. The SL800H Pro's cradle requires the handset to click into place so the charge pins make consistent contact — if it rests at a slight angle, the circuit stays open and the handset runs on battery in standby all night. Check that the handset slides fully down into the cradle and sits level. If standby drain continues after confirming the seat, check the cradle contacts for debris or corrosion and clean with a dry cotton swab.
The SL800H Pro loses range and call quality drops when the battery is below half — is this a transmit power problem?
Yes. DECT handsets maintain RF transmit power from the battery voltage rail, and Li-ion cells show increasing voltage sag under radio-frequency load as charge drops. Below roughly 3.5V, the SL800H Pro's transmit output can fall enough to cause audio artefacts and reduced range. Keep the handset returned to the base between calls so the cell stays above 3.6V — this is where the RF output stays stable. A cell that sags heavily even when new may have a high internal resistance; check open-circuit voltage with a multimeter after a full charge — it should read 4.1–4.2V.
