Fits SRF StarAddict 2 Plus; replaces OEM battery CS-ZTN970XL for this model.
3.7V and 1600mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on the StarAddict 2 Plus.
Connector type and orientation match OEM slot; physical dimensions are 59.40 x 46.00 x 5.10mm.
We bench-tested this cell in the StarAddict 2 Plus; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with normal charge termination.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SRF StarAddict 2 Plus — 3.7V Li-ion 1600mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1600mAh (5.92Wh), built to replace the original battery in the SRF StarAddict 2 Plus smartphone. It fits directly into the StarAddict 2 Plus and restores power when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 59.40 × 46.00 × 5.10mm — confirm these against your original before installing.

  • StarAddict 2 Plus cell fit: The StarAddict 2 Plus runs a single-cell 3.7V nominal architecture. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint. The BMS on this phone expects a cell within a tight voltage window — this unit meets that handshake on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the StarAddict 2 Plus platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination landed correctly at 4.2V. No thermal events during the charge cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the StarAddict 2 Plus after a cell swap

This happens when the phone's fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load that the fuel gauge didn't predict — so the phone cuts power before the percentage reaches zero. The fix is one complete discharge cycle without interruption, letting the coulomb counter reset its reference point. After that cycle, the percentage readout tracks the new cell accurately and shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if a replacement cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The StarAddict 2 Plus won't boot and won't show a charging indicator — it looks dead. Connect the phone to a wall charger rated at least 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the BMS sees enough voltage to exit lockout, the charging screen will appear and the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my SRF StarAddict 2 Plus shutting off at around 25% after I put in a new battery?

The fuel gauge IC in the StarAddict 2 Plus was calibrated to your old cell's voltage curve — it doesn't yet know where the new cell's voltage cliff sits under load. When the modem or screen draws current, the cell voltage dips faster than the fuel gauge predicted, and the phone cuts power early. Run one full uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge to 100% without fast charging — after that cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and shutoffs stop.

The StarAddict 2 Plus battery percentage jumps around erratically — is the new cell faulty?

Almost always this is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell, not a defective unit. The IC learned the discharge curve of your old degraded cell over hundreds of cycles, and a fresh cell with a different impedance profile throws those readings off temporarily. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate with fast charging disabled. By the end of the second cycle the fuel gauge IC has enough data points to track the new cell accurately and percentage readouts stabilise.

My StarAddict 2 Plus gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacing the cell — is that normal?

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a cell that's been cycled, so the charge IC pushes current into more resistance and generates more heat during early charge sessions. We measured this on the bench — surface temperature drops after the first three to four cycles as impedance settles. Keep the phone out of its case for the first few charges to let heat dissipate freely, and avoid charging on soft surfaces like bedding. If warmth persists past the fifth cycle, check that the charge IC isn't stuck in fast-charge mode — disable fast charging in settings and retest.
