Fits Staraddict 2 and Staraddict II smartphones, replacing the OEM cell that no longer holds charge.
3.7V at 1750mAh — this capacity restores the phone to full runtime between charges after battery degradation.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with standard smartphone contact orientation and locking tab engagement.
We bench tested this cell in a Staraddict 2 charging dock; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and discharged cleanly under load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SRF Staraddict 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell for the SRF Staraddict 2 (also sold as the Staraddict II). It replaces the original battery when the phone no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Dimensions are 64.60 × 43.95 × 5.10mm — confirm these against your original cell before ordering.

  • Staraddict 2 and Staraddict II compatibility: Both model names refer to the same hardware generation. They share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Staraddict 2 platform. The BMS handshake completed on the first cycle, charge current ramped correctly, and the protection circuit tripped as expected at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. The fuel gauge IC on this phone calibrates its coulomb counter against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings and early low-battery warnings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Staraddict 2

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under heavy load — cellular modem active, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge expects. The phone's protection circuit reads the voltage drop as a critical cutoff and kills power before the percentage display reaches zero. It happens on aged original cells and can also appear on a replacement cell whose fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated to the new discharge curve. Run one full discharge cycle, then check if the cutoff point shifts. If it persists below 3.4V under load, the gauge IC needs a second full cycle to anchor its model.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells that discharge below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and blocks current to prevent cell damage. Plugging in the charger may show no response at all. Connect the phone to a wall adapter rated at least 1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — most BMS circuits on this platform require a slow trickle before they re-enable the main charge path. Once the screen shows the charging indicator, the BMS has re-initialised and normal charging can proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Staraddict 2 shows a different battery percentage every time I check it — why is the number jumping around after I fitted the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the Staraddict 2 stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship, so the percentage output becomes erratic. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge it fully to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Staraddict 2 the day I swapped the battery — it only slow charges now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on this phone defaults to a lower current rate until the BMS on the new cell completes its initialisation handshake. This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell. Let the phone complete one full charge from near-empty to 100% on a standard 5V/1A adapter. On the second cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the protocol negotiation should complete and full charge current will be accepted.

The Staraddict 2 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with a new cell?

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several charge cycles. Higher impedance means more energy is lost as heat during the first few charges, which is why the back of the phone feels warmer than usual. The effect reduces after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — stop charging and check that the charge IC is not stuck in a continuous top-up loop by confirming the charging indicator disappears at 100%.
