Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sunmi V2 Pro — 7.6V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (ZQP1659)
This 7.6V, 2100mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the ZQP1659 cell in the Sunmi V2 Pro portable payment terminal. It fits the compact handheld POS device used by merchants in retail and hospitality settings. Capacity is 2100mAh (15.96Wh), matching the original specification.
- V2 Pro platform fit: The V2 Pro uses a specific connector pinout and BMS handshake tied to the ZQP1659 cell profile. This replacement carries the correct cell geometry (68.60 × 56.50 × 7.40mm) and communicates with the terminal's charge IC without triggering a rejection error.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the V2 Pro's charge IC and confirmed the BMS accepts the handshake, reaches full charge without fault codes, and holds voltage under combined display, wireless, and printer draw.
- First transaction cycle after installation: After fitting this battery, complete one full transaction — tap to receipt print — before deploying in a live environment. The V2 Pro maps capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.
Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The V2 Pro's receipt printer motor pulls a short current spike at the moment it feeds paper. On a new cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle, the BMS can interpret that spike as an overcurrent event and cut output to protect the cell. This trips the terminal mid-sale — usually right after card approval when the printer fires. Let the battery reach a full charge before the first live transaction, and the BMS will have calibrated its overcurrent threshold against actual load data rather than factory defaults.
Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge over time. If the V2 Pro sat unused for several weeks, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the terminal will show nothing when you press power. Connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC needs to trickle-charge the cell back above the recovery floor before normal charging begins. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering; if nothing shows after 45 minutes on charge, the original cell has likely failed below recoverable voltage and replacement is the correct next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Sunmi V2 Pro reboots every time it prints a receipt — is this the battery?
Most likely yes. The printer motor in the V2 Pro draws a brief current spike when it feeds paper, and a degraded or deeply discharged battery can drop voltage enough that the BMS trips the output to protect the cell. Swap the battery, let it charge fully, then run one complete transaction cycle before going live. If reboots stop after that first calibration cycle, the original battery was the cause.
The charge indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move to 100% — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. When the V2 Pro's charge IC detects a new cell, it enters top-off mode and trickle-charges the final percentage slowly to condition the cell correctly. This can hold at 99% for 30–60 minutes depending on ambient temperature. Leave it on charge without interrupting the session and it will complete. Unplugging and re-plugging resets the top-off cycle and extends the time further.
My V2 Pro terminal won't finish booting — it gets to the PCI security screen and restarts. Could this be battery-related?
Yes. The PCI boot sequence on the V2 Pro draws more current than standby because it runs security verification routines while the display is fully lit. If the BMS hasn't yet accepted the full handshake with the charge IC — which happens on the first complete boot-charge cycle — it can cut output during that elevated draw and force a restart loop. Charge the replacement battery to 100% before powering the terminal on for the first time, then allow the boot sequence to complete without interruption.
