Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sunni P2 LITE SE / T6810 Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TMPA / TMPC)
This 3.8V 2900mAh Li-ion battery fits the Sunni P2 LITE SE, T6810, T6810H, and T6810M payment terminals. These compact card reader devices are used daily in merchant environments for contactless, chip, and magnetic stripe transactions. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec — TMPA and TMPC part numbers both apply across this model range.
- P2 LITE SE and T6810 series compatibility: The P2 LITE SE and T6810 variants share the same battery bay geometry, voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge-discharge sequences on a T6810 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake on the first boot, charge current stepped down correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- First transaction cycle after installation: Complete one full transaction — from terminal wake to receipt print — before deploying in a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.
Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The T6810's receipt printer motor draws a brief current spike when it fires — this can trip the BMS overcurrent cutoff on a new cell that hasn't completed an initial calibration cycle. The BMS protection threshold is conservative by design and loosens slightly once the cell registers a full charge-discharge pass. If reboots happen consistently at the point of printing, run the terminal through one complete charge cycle first. After that cycle, the BMS threshold aligns correctly with the motor-start surge profile of the printer.
Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A terminal stored for several months can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — at which point the protection circuit blocks output entirely to prevent damage. Plugging the terminal directly into the OEM charger and leaving it for 20–30 minutes allows the charge IC to apply a pre-charge trickle current that brings the cell back above the recovery threshold. Once voltage climbs past approximately 3.0V, the BMS re-enables output and the terminal boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The charge indicator on my T6810 has been stuck at 99% since I put the new battery in — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. The charge IC enters a top-off mode when a new cell first reaches near-full voltage, holding at 99% while it applies a low trickle current to reach true capacity. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the battery or terminal. Run one full transaction cycle and let the terminal discharge to around 20% before recharging. After that first full cycle the charge indicator tracks normally.
My P2 LITE SE battery indicator dropped from 40% to flat with no warning — why did it cut off so suddenly?
This happens when the terminal's charge gauge hasn't mapped the new cell's discharge curve yet. The gauge was calibrated to the old battery's profile, so voltage readings become inaccurate partway through the curve. The terminal misreads the remaining capacity and hits the low-voltage cutoff before the indicator reaches zero. Discharge the terminal fully until it shuts off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% — that single cycle recalibrates the gauge to the new cell.
The T6810 feels noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is the battery the cause?
Sustained transaction periods combine display, wireless radio, and printer motor draw simultaneously, which generates heat across the whole board — not just the battery. A surface temperature that feels warm to the touch is within normal operating range for this terminal class. The battery's BMS monitors cell temperature independently and will reduce charge rate if the cell itself exceeds safe limits. If the terminal feels hot enough to be uncomfortable, move it away from direct sunlight or enclosed spaces that restrict airflow.
