Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Testo 350K Analyzer — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (0515 0039)
This 11.1V, 6800mAh Li-ion pack replaces the OEM battery in the Testo 350K and 350 GAS Analyzers. Both are combustion flue gas analyzers used by HVAC technicians to measure exhaust emissions and heating system efficiency in the field. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.
- 350K and 350 GAS compatibility: Both analyzers share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The 0515 0039 part number covers both units — the internal cell configuration, protection circuit, and thermistor line are identical across the pair.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through a full charge cycle and monitored the BMS handshake at power-on. The protection circuit responded correctly to the analyzer's sensor initialisation current spike, and the charge controller accepted the pack without fault codes.
- Post-install calibration on the 350K: After fitting this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument menu before heading to site. The 350K maps battery state during calibration — skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings during the first measurement session, even with a fully charged pack.
BMS lockout after the 350K sat unused in a carry case for months
Li-ion cells left in storage self-discharge slowly. If the pack drops below roughly 2.5V per cell — around 7.5V total — the BMS trips into deep-discharge lockout and will not respond to the charger or the instrument. This is a protection state, not a dead pack. To recover it, connect the original Testo charger and leave it for up to 30 minutes before the BMS re-initialises and allows normal charging to begin. If the charger LED never shifts from fault to charge, the cells have gone below recovery threshold and the pack will need replacing.
350K shuts down mid-measurement when the heated probe initialises
The 350K's heated probe draws a sharp current spike at initialisation — this is normal behaviour, but an aged or partially discharged OEM pack can trigger the BMS overcurrent cutoff at that moment. The analyzer shuts off without warning, even when the battery indicator showed adequate charge. This replacement pack carries a higher cell capacity at 6800mAh, which lowers internal resistance and keeps voltage stable through the probe start-up surge. Charge the pack fully before the first field session to ensure the BMS enters the measurement session at rated headroom.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Testo 350K powers on fine but shuts off the moment the heated probe starts — is this a battery problem or a probe fault?
It is almost always the battery. The heated probe draws a sharp current spike at initialisation, and a battery with elevated internal resistance — either aged or partially discharged — triggers the BMS overcurrent cutoff at that exact moment. The probe itself is rarely the cause when shutdown only happens at start-up. Charge the replacement pack to full before the first session and retest; if shutdown stops, the old pack was the fault.
The 350K won't recognise the new battery after the analyzer sat in storage for several months — the charger just shows a fault light.
The pack self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold during storage — typically under 7.5V total for an 11.1V three-cell pack. Connect the Testo charger and leave it undisturbed for up to 30 minutes; the protection circuit needs sustained low-current trickle before it will re-initialise and allow normal charging. If the fault light does not clear after 30 minutes, the cells have dropped below the point of recovery. If it does clear, charge fully before use.
During a long logging session, the 350K readings reset and the session data is lost — the battery still showed charge remaining on the display.
This is a voltage dropout under sustained sensor load, not a capacity issue with the display reading. During extended logging, combined draw from the electrochemical sensors, display, and data logging circuits can pull the pack voltage low enough to momentarily trip the BMS, which resets the instrument mid-session. The displayed percentage lags behind real cell voltage because the indicator recalibrates slowly. Run the full calibration cycle through the instrument menu after fitting this pack so the 350K re-maps battery state to the new cells before your next logging session.
