Fits Turtle Beach XP510 RX wireless headset, replaces OEM part 3.7V 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell.
3.7V nominal, 1500mAh capacity delivers 5.55Wh — matches original output for uninterrupted wireless call and gaming audio.
Connector slides into battery compartment beneath ear cup with polarity-marked contacts; locking tab secures pack flush.
We ran charge and discharge cycles on the XP510 RX base station; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion and held stable voltage under mixed DECT radio plus audio load.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before extended calls — the DECT platform logs new cell capacity during this cycle, preventing mid-call cutouts on subsequent uses.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Turtle Beach XP510 RX — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Turtle Beach XP510 RX wireless gaming headset. It fits the RX receiver unit that pairs with the XP510 base station transmitter. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • XP510 RX fit: The XP510 system splits audio processing between the transmitter base and the RX headset unit. The RX unit runs its DECT radio and audio decoder from this single Li-Polymer cell — voltage must sit at 3.7V nominal or the DECT link drops before the audio stage shuts down.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under combined DECT radio and audio draw. The BMS held the output rail steady across the full discharge curve and tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff without dropping the wireless link mid-cycle.
  • First charge in the base station: Place the XP510 RX in its base station and run a complete charge cycle before use. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — without it, the talk-time estimate on the headset will read inaccurate for the first several uses.

Base station not recognising the new pack after fitting

The XP510 base uses a BMS handshake to confirm a valid cell is seated before it begins a charge cycle. A replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — which sits below the threshold the base expects for a fully initialised pack. If the base shows no charge indicator or flashes an error, the handshake has not completed. Seat the RX unit firmly in the cradle and leave it for a full charge cycle without interruption — this allows the BMS to complete initialisation and the base to register the cell.

Headset cuts out mid-session even with battery showing charge

The XP510 RX draws simultaneously from the DECT radio and the audio decoder — two loads that spike together during high-bandwidth audio moments. If the cell has aged or was stored for a long period, internal resistance rises and the combined draw causes a voltage sag that trips the BMS cutoff even when the indicated charge level looks healthy. This is not a firmware fault — it is the BMS protecting the cell. Fit a fresh cell and confirm the resting voltage reads at or above 3.7V before the first use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XP510 base station shows a full charge but the headset dies after a few minutes of use — what's happening?

A cell shipped at storage voltage (around 3.6V) can read as "charged" on the base display before the BMS has completed a full initialisation cycle. The cell does not have enough usable capacity until it has been charged and discharged at least once through the base station. Place the RX unit in the cradle and run one uninterrupted full charge cycle — after that, the cell will deliver its rated 1500mAh capacity.

Talk time seems much shorter than it should be for the first few uses — is the battery faulty?

Li-Polymer cells need several charge and discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. On a fresh replacement, the first two to three cycles typically deliver noticeably less than the rated 1500mAh. This improves progressively over three to five full cycles as the cell conditions. Run full charge cycles through the base station without interrupting mid-charge and talk time will increase with each cycle.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long gaming sessions — is that a battery issue?

The XP510 RX houses the DECT radio, audio decoder, and battery in a compact shell with limited airflow. Under sustained combined draw, the cell generates heat that has nowhere to dissipate quickly. This is normal within limits, but if the unit becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the cell voltage is holding above 3.5V mid-session — a cell with rising internal resistance generates more heat under the same load. A replacement cell at full capacity will run cooler than a degraded original.
