Fits VeriFone IBS019NA payment terminals and T650C Trinity models, replaces OEM part IBS019NA.
7.4V, 1000mAh lithium-ion cell powers card processing and receipt printing without voltage sag during transactions.
Connector seats flush into the terminal battery slot with positive contact alignment and retention tab lock.
We bench-tested the BMS on a T650C boot cycle — no overcurrent faults, stable 7.4V output under printer load.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before live deployment so the terminal maps battery capacity and calibrates the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VeriFone T650C / Trinity T650c — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (IBS019NA)

This 7.4V, 1000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM IBS019NA cell in VeriFone payment terminals, including the T650C and Trinity T650c. It restores power to portable card processing units used in retail and service point-of-sale environments. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • T650C and Trinity T650c compatibility: Both models run the same 7.4V power rail and use an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through boot, wireless pairing, and transaction sequences on a T650C unit. The BMS accepted the handshake on the first full power cycle and held voltage within the expected range across repeated card-read and print events.
  • First deployment tip for the T650C: After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The T650C receipt printer draws a short current spike when it fires — typically enough to trigger the BMS overcurrent protection on a partially conditioned cell. This causes the terminal to cut power and reboot mid-sale. The fix is to run two or three full transaction cycles on the new battery before live use. After that, the BMS has profiled the load and will not trip on a normal printer burst.

Terminal not completing PCI boot sequence on a freshly installed battery

The T650C runs a PCI compliance check during boot that draws more current than standby. If the battery cell arrived partially discharged, the terminal may stall or restart before the sequence completes. Connect the terminal to its charger first, allow a full charge cycle, then power on. Once the cell reaches 8.0V or above, the boot sequence completes without interruption.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VeriFone T650C powers on fine but reboots every time I process a sale — what's happening?

The receipt printer motor fires a short current spike at the end of each transaction, and a new or partially conditioned cell can trigger the BMS overcurrent cutoff at that exact moment. This is not a fault with the battery — it clears after two or three full transaction cycles once the BMS has profiled the load. Run the terminal through a few test transactions on charge before putting it into service.

The T650C battery indicator has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is it defective?

No. When the charge IC detects a new cell, it enters top-off mode and holds the indicator just below 100% while it applies a low-current finishing charge. This typically resolves after the first full discharge-and-recharge cycle in normal use. Run the terminal until it prompts a low-battery warning, recharge fully, and the indicator will read correctly from that point on.

My T650C won't power on at all — it sat unused in a drawer for several months. What do I check first?

Extended storage without a charge allows the cell to self-discharge below the BMS recovery threshold, which locks the battery out as a safety measure. Connect the terminal to its charger and leave it for at least 90 minutes without attempting to power it on. If the charge LED activates, the BMS is recovering the cell — wait for a full charge before pressing the power button. If no LED appears after 30 minutes on charge, measure the battery voltage directly; a reading below 5.5V indicates the cell needs replacement.
