Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pax A930 / A910 — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (JTH-J128)
This is a 7.4V, 2200mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Pax A930 and A910 payment terminals. It fits the same slot and connector as the original JTH-J128 cell. Use it to restore full operation after the factory battery degrades or fails.
- A930 and A910 shared platform: Both terminals run the same 7.4V power rail, use the same physical housing dimensions, and share the BMS handshake protocol — so one cell covers both models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full boot sequence on an A930 and monitored BMS communication. The charge IC accepted the cell within one complete power cycle, and the terminal reported state-of-charge without fault codes.
- First-transaction calibration: After fitting this battery, run one complete transaction from power-on through receipt print before placing the terminal in a live queue. The A930 maps battery capacity during normal operation — the charge indicator calibrates correctly only after at least one full power cycle under real load.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after a battery swap
The A930's receipt printer pulls a short, sharp current spike at the moment printing starts. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS has not yet learned the battery's internal resistance profile, so it can read that spike as an overcurrent event and trip protection. This causes an unexpected reboot — right at the point of sale. Running two or three test transactions before going live gives the BMS enough data to stop treating normal printer draw as a fault condition.
Terminal will not power on after sitting unused in a drawer
Li-polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A terminal stored for several months can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the device will not respond to the power button at all. Connect the terminal to the original charger and leave it undisturbed for 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge LED does not light within five minutes of connecting, check the charger output voltage is at or above 8.4V before replacing the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Pax A930 charge indicator has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. When a new lithium-polymer cell is installed, the charge IC enters a top-off phase and holds the display at 99% until it completes a trickle-charge cycle to full capacity. This is normal behaviour for the A930 charge controller on a fresh cell. Leave the terminal on charge until the indicator moves to 100% — this typically happens after the first uninterrupted charge session.
My A930 keeps restarting every time a receipt prints — it was fine before the battery swap.
The receipt printer draws a sudden current spike at print start. If the BMS has not yet profiled the cell's internal resistance, it interprets that spike as an overcurrent condition and cuts power momentarily, causing the reboot. Run three or four test transactions — power-on through full receipt print — before deploying the terminal. After those cycles, the BMS accepts the printer's draw as normal and the reboots stop.
The A930 screen is warm to the touch during a busy transaction period — is the new battery overheating?
The heat comes from the combined draw of the display backlight, wireless radio, and receipt printer all running simultaneously — not from a fault in the battery itself. Li-polymer cells in the A930's form factor do generate some surface warmth under sustained load, and that is within normal operating parameters. If the terminal becomes hot enough to display a thermal warning or shuts down automatically, check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated, then reboot the terminal to clear any thermal flag before continuing.
