Fits Sunmi M2 and T7820 payment terminals, replacing OEM part number JKHS.
3.8V and 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sustained power for card processing and receipt printing throughout shift cycles.
Connector seats into the battery bay with a friction-fit locking tab — orient the contact pins toward the top of the terminal.
We bench-tested the pack on a Sunmi M2 dock: BMS accepted the handshake on cold insertion, charge IC entered top-off mode at 85% and held steady, no early thermal cutoff during 30-minute transaction load simulation.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one full power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sunmi M2 / T7820 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (JKHS)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Sunmi M2 and T7820 payment terminals. It replaces OEM part number JKHS and slots directly into the battery bay on both models. Capacity is 3000mAh (11.4Wh), matching the original cell specification.

  • M2 and T7820 compatibility: Both terminals share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Sunmi boot sequence and ran multiple transaction loads including receipt printer motor draws. The BMS held voltage within spec and did not trip on printer activation.
  • First deployment tip: After fitting the battery, complete one full transaction cycle before going live. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to display an accurate charge indicator.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The Sunmi M2 receipt printer draws a short, sharp current spike when it fires. On a new battery that hasn't completed its first charge-discharge cycle, the BMS may read that spike as an overcurrent event and cut output. This is a calibration issue, not a fault with the cell. Run the terminal through two or three complete transaction cycles — print included — and the BMS will normalise its overcurrent threshold. If reboots persist past the third cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated and reading at least 3.7V at rest.

Sunmi M2 won't power on after sitting unused in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge slowly in storage. If the terminal has sat unused for several weeks or months, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the terminal will show no response at all. Connect the charging cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle-charge the cell back above the recovery threshold before the BMS will allow a normal boot. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, allow a full charge to 4.2V before powering on.

Frequently Asked Questions

The charge indicator on my Sunmi M2 has been stuck at 99% since I fitted the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. When a new Li-Polymer cell is installed, the charge IC enters a top-off mode and holds the display at 99% while it completes a slow balancing charge on the fresh cell. This is normal behaviour and typically clears within one full charge cycle. Once the terminal completes a full charge and you run it down through normal use, the indicator will begin reporting accurately. No action needed beyond completing that first cycle.

My Sunmi M2 gets noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is the battery causing it?

The warmth is coming from combined load, not the battery alone. During peak periods the M2 is running the display backlight, wireless radio, and receipt printer simultaneously — that combined draw generates heat across the board. The Li-Polymer cell does contribute a small amount, but it's within normal operating range for this chemistry. If the terminal feels hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the printer head isn't jammed and forcing the motor to run longer than it should — that's the single biggest heat source in this terminal.

My Sunmi M2 won't finish booting — it gets to the startup screen and then shuts off. Could this be a BMS handshake issue?

Yes, this is a known behaviour on first install. The Sunmi boot sequence includes a PCI security check that queries the battery BMS for a valid response before completing startup. If the BMS hasn't yet accepted the terminal as a trusted host — which happens on the first boot after a battery swap — the terminal can shut down partway through. Connect the charger, let the terminal sit powered and charging for five minutes, then attempt a cold boot. One successful charge-while-booting cycle is usually enough to complete the handshake and allow normal startup.
