Replaces TLp007A1 for Verizon Palm, PVG100, PVG100E, PVG100EU smartphones.
Output 3.85V at 700mAh capacity — supplies enough current for calls, messaging, and apps before the original cell's charge-holding ability drops.
Connector seats flat against the battery contact pads; locking tab clips into the battery door slot without forcing.
We bench-tested this cell in a PVG100 — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on first insertion and discharged linearly without voltage sag.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon Palm PVG100 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp007A1)

This 3.85V, 700mAh (2.7Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original TLp007A1 battery in the Verizon Palm smartphone. It fits the Palm, PVG100, PVG100E, and PVG100EU models. The cell matches the original's compact 41.70 × 33.50 × 3.70mm footprint, so it sits flush in the chassis without clearance issues.

  • PVG100 platform compatibility: The Palm, PVG100, PVG100E, and PVG100EU all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — a single cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a PVG100 unit. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Palm PVG100

The Palm's small 700mAh cell has a steep voltage cliff near the bottom of its discharge curve. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks, current draw spikes and cell voltage drops sharply — the BMS reads this as a low-voltage fault and cuts power before the percentage gauge catches up. This is a calibration gap between the fuel gauge IC and the new cell, not a defective battery. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-zero then a full charge cycle at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and resolves the early shutdown.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat discharged in storage

Lithium-polymer cells that drop below roughly 2.5V enter BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone shows no response to the power button or charger. Plug into a wall adapter rather than a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current to wake the BMS. Hold the charge for at least 15–20 minutes at this trickle state before attempting to power on. If cell voltage recovers above 3.0V, the BMS will re-initialise and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Palm PVG100 show a different battery percentage right after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the PVG100 stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell, and it applies that curve to the new one immediately — the numbers don't match the new cell's actual behaviour. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. That single cycle lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging isn't working on the first charge after I swapped the battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the PVG100 runs a negotiation handshake with the new BMS before it steps up to higher current. Some units stay in standard charge mode for the entire first cycle while this completes. Let the first charge finish fully without interrupting it, and fast charging should activate normally from the second cycle onward.

The Palm feels warm near the battery area during charging after the replacement — is that normal?

A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC generates more heat during the first few charge cycles. Mild warmth near the battery bay during this period is expected and drops off as the cell conditions. If the device becomes hot to the touch or charging stops before full, check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no pressure on the connector — an uneven seating raises contact resistance and increases heat further.
