Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo S12 Pro — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-T2)
This is a 3.87V, 4200mAh (16.25Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo S12 Pro, S12 Pro 5G, S12 Pro 5G 2022 Standard Edition, and V2163A. It replaces OEM part number B-T2 directly. Fit models share the same voltage rail, BMS handshake, and connector format.
- S12 Pro platform compatibility: The S12 Pro, S12 Pro 5G, and V2163A all run the same 3.87V nominal rail with an identical connector pinout and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers all four variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on S12 Pro hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC logged the new discharge curve correctly after one full cycle.
- First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.
Why the S12 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The S12 Pro uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the original cell's impedance and discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve, so displayed percentage drifts from actual state of charge. This causes the phone to read 40% while the cell is closer to 20%. One complete discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the calibration baseline. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't completed recalibration and the modem or display pulls a current spike the cell can't sustain at a miscalculated state of charge. The cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — before the OS registers critical battery level. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: discharge fully, charge to 100% without interruption. If shutdowns continue after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the flex cable isn't kinked.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo S12 Pro won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
A battery stored discharged can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering a BMS lockout that blocks normal boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will respond. If the charging indicator appears and then the phone boots, the cell is recovering normally.
Fast charging stopped working immediately after I fitted the new B-T2 cell — the phone just slow-charges now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Vivo charge IC runs a verification handshake with the new BMS before enabling the proprietary fast-charge protocol. Until that handshake completes — usually after one full standard-rate charge — the phone defaults to 5W input. Complete one full charge at standard rate, let the phone reach 100%, then unplug and reboot. Fast charging should activate on the next charge session once the BMS and charge IC have exchanged the required authentication.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — goes from 55% to 70% and back — even when I'm not using the phone hard.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. The old calibration data doesn't match the new cell's impedance profile, so the IC overshoots and corrects repeatedly. Run one full uninterrupted discharge — use the screen at full brightness or play video until auto-shutdown — then charge to 100% without unplugging. After that cycle the fuel gauge has a clean reference point and percentage readings stabilise.
