Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Weenect Silber WE401 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB523450)
This 3.7V 1000mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original AHB523450 battery in the Weenect Silber WE401 GPS tracker. The Silber WE401 is a personal GPS tracking device — typically used for monitoring elderly or vulnerable individuals in real time. When the original cell degrades, charge cycles shorten noticeably before the device starts losing signal mid-track.
- Silber WE401 fit: The WE401 runs a single-cell Li-Polymer architecture at 3.7V nominal. This cell matches that voltage rail and the AHB523450 footprint — 51.20 × 33.70 × 5.00mm — so the BMS handshake completes without fault codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the WE401 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without entering protection mode, and the tracker returned to active tracking state as expected after each cycle.
- Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the device fully on outdoors before first use. GPS trackers perform a cold start after any full power interruption — first satellite fix can take 5–10 minutes outdoors. Subsequent power cycles reacquire much faster once almanac data is cached.
Why the WE401 shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits zero
The WE401's fuel gauge is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A degraded or replacement cell may have a slightly different voltage-drop profile under load. When the GPS receiver and cellular modem draw current simultaneously, voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the indicator tracks. The visual warning never fires because the cutoff trips first. To recalibrate, run two full charge-to-cutoff cycles so the firmware maps the new cell's discharge curve accurately.
WE401 draining noticeably faster during active location updates than in standby
In standby, the WE401 pings location at longer intervals — the GPS receiver powers down between fixes. In active tracking mode, the receiver stays on continuously alongside the cellular radio transmitting updates. That combined load draws significantly more current than standby polling. If drain seems excessive even in standby, check the app's update frequency setting — reducing the ping interval from 30 seconds to 2 minutes drops the active-radio duty cycle substantially and extends time between charges.

Frequently Asked Questions
My WE401 lost all its tracking history and alert zones after I swapped the battery — is that gone for good?
Alert zones and tracking history stored locally on the WE401 sit in volatile RAM backed by the battery. A full power removal clears that memory — it does not recover on its own. Zones configured through the Weenect app are stored server-side, so re-syncing the app after the swap restores those automatically. Re-enter any locally stored alert zones through the app once the device reconnects to the network.
After fitting the new battery, the WE401 took nearly 10 minutes to show a location fix — is the GPS faulty?
It is not faulty — this is a cold start. When power is fully removed, the GPS receiver loses its cached almanac and ephemeris data. Without that data, the receiver has to download fresh satellite positioning from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. Every warm start after that — where the device simply wakes from standby — reacquires in under a minute. Leave the device stationary outdoors after the first power-on and wait for the fix to stabilise before moving it.
The WE401 GPS position accuracy seems worse at low battery — is that a signal issue or a power issue?
It is a power issue. Some GPS receivers reduce receiver sensitivity at low battery to stay within the current budget the cell can supply under voltage sag. When the cell voltage drops toward the lower end of the 3.7V nominal range, the receiver may drop weaker satellite signals, reducing the number of satellites in the fix. Charging the device above 3.9V typically restores full receiver sensitivity — confirm this by checking whether position accuracy improves immediately after a charge cycle.
