Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko View 3 Lite / W-V800 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (466479)
This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell (15.02Wh) built to the same footprint as the original 466479 battery. It fits the Wiko View 3 Lite and W-V800 smartphones. The cell matches OEM dimensions at 80.20 × 63.65 × 4.54mm, so it seats correctly under the original flex connector without modification.
- View 3 Lite and W-V800 fitment: Both model designations share the same chassis and battery bay. The 466479 part number covers the full production run of this platform — same connector pin-out, same BMS handshake voltage thresholds, one cell covers both variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the View 3 Lite platform and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly at each charge phase. Cutoff voltage held at 4.35V on the high end; the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without triggering a hard fault.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the View 3 Lite after a cell swap
When the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it misreads the new cell's state of charge by a significant margin. A fresh 3900mAh cell has a steeper voltage cliff under modem and display load than the degraded cell the phone learned on. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped below the point where it can sustain the screen and radio simultaneously. Running one full discharge to auto-off, then charging uninterrupted to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell and eliminates the false cliff.
Device won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery
Li-Polymer cells discharged below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout to prevent cell damage — the phone will show nothing when you press the power button. Standard charging will not clear this state because the charge IC won't pass current to a cell the BMS has locked out. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source (a 5V 500mA port, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The BMS uses trickle current to bring the cell voltage above the lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes. Confirm recovery by checking that the charging indicator appears within 30 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Wiko View 3 Lite percentage is jumping around after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from your old, degraded battery, so it miscalculates the new cell's state of charge as the voltage profile doesn't match what it expects. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the percentage stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my View 3 Lite after fitting the replacement — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to a conservative current limit until the BMS confirms the cell is responding within expected voltage parameters. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone fully at the slow rate it has defaulted to, then discharge it to around 10% under normal use. On the second charge cycle, fast charging typically resumes automatically once the charge IC has confirmed stable cell behaviour.
My View 3 Lite gets noticeably warm near the battery during charging — is the new cell causing this?
A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat than a broken-in one during the first few charge cycles, because the charge IC is pushing current into a cell with higher internal resistance than a cycled cell. This is normal and reduces after three to five charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the warmth is uncomfortable to touch or persists beyond five cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection increases contact resistance and heat. The operating charge voltage for this cell is 4.35V; if you have a multimeter, confirming the connector pins are at that voltage at full charge rules out a seating issue.
