Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wintec WBT-202 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Wintec WBT-202 smartphone. It fits directly into the WBT-202 and restores power to devices where the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Capacity is 4.44Wh at the rated 3.7V nominal voltage.
- WBT-202 fit: The WBT-202 uses a slim 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm cell format. This replacement matches those physical dimensions and the 3.7V voltage rail the device's charge IC expects. No connector modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge trip, no premature low-voltage lockout. Charge IC handshake completed on first connection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use after fitting this battery, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve for the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge map.
Why the WBT-202 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The WBT-202 uses a coulomb counter or fuel gauge IC that builds its state-of-charge model against the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The phone reads voltage and maps it to the old curve, which produces percentage readings that drift or sit higher than reality. One full slow discharge to auto-off, followed by a full uninterrupted charge, forces the IC to recalibrate against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the WBT-202 replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is miscalibrated and the reported percentage is ahead of the real state of charge. As the modem or display pulls a load spike, cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — around 3.0V — even though the screen shows 20–30% remaining. The phone shuts down to protect the cell. Run one full slow discharge-charge cycle after fitting the new battery. Once the fuel gauge recalibrates, the percentage reading will track real voltage and the sudden shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My WBT-202 won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead?
It's likely a BMS lockout. If the original cell discharged below 2.5V during storage, the BMS on the old cell may have cut output entirely to prevent damage — and a deeply discharged cell sometimes won't accept charge through the normal power-on path. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before pressing power. Most charge ICs on this voltage rail will trickle-charge a locked-out cell back above 3.0V before allowing a normal boot.
Fast charging stopped working on my WBT-202 right after I fitted the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the USB-PD or proprietary charge protocol negotiation can fail because the BMS on the new cell presents different impedance characteristics than the aged original. The phone's charge IC defaults to standard 5V charging as a fallback. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. After recalibration, attempt fast charging again — most WBT-202 units resume the higher charge rate once the IC has logged a full cycle against the new cell.
The battery percentage on my WBT-202 jumps around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 11% in a few minutes.
The fuel gauge IC is still running its state-of-charge model against the old cell's discharge curve, so voltage-to-percentage mapping is unreliable. Erratic jumps are the gauge overcorrecting as it samples actual cell voltage and finds the curve doesn't match. Fully discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger early. That single complete cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to reset its model to the new cell.
