Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiper Blitz Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 25.2V 9000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Wiper Blitz, Blitz 2.0, Blitz 2.0 Evolution L60, and Blitz X cordless lawn mowers. It delivers 226.8Wh of capacity to the blade motor circuit. Drop voltage or capacity and blade torque suffers immediately — this pack matches the original spec exactly.
- Blitz series compatibility: The Blitz, Blitz 2.0, and Blitz 2.0 Evolution L60 share the same 25.2V battery rail and connector format. The BMS handshake across these models recognises the same cell configuration, so the pack communicates correctly with each charger variant in the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a Blitz mower, monitoring BMS behaviour under simulated blade-load spikes. The protection circuit held voltage within the expected window and did not trip under normal cutting inrush current.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed up.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
When the blade motor hits dense or wet grass, inrush current spikes sharply — often two to three times the steady-state draw. If the pack's cells are partially discharged or have begun to age, internal resistance rises and the voltage sag under that spike can cross the BMS undervoltage threshold. The mower shuts off as a protection response, not a battery failure. Let the pack rest for five minutes before restarting — this allows the BMS to reset and the cells to recover surface charge.
Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter
Li-ion packs self-discharge slowly over months of storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, most chargers read the pack as faulty and refuse to charge it. This is a charger safety response — the cells are not necessarily dead. Some Wiper chargers include a recovery or wake-up mode; consult the charger label for a dedicated recovery button or alternate port. If no recovery mode exists, a compatible bench charger set to a gentle precharge at 0.1C can bring cell voltage back above the 2.5V acceptance threshold before handing off to the standard charger.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiper Blitz cuts out halfway through a row, then starts again after a short wait — what's happening?
This is the BMS triggering thermal protection under sustained high-draw cutting. The blade motor pulls more current through dense or damp grass, heating the cells faster than normal airflow dissipates it. Once internal temperature drops, the BMS resets and the mower restarts. Allow a five-minute cooldown between stints in heavy grass, and avoid mowing wet lawns where blade drag is significantly higher.
The Blitz performs noticeably worse on the first cold morning of spring — is the battery failing?
It isn't failing. Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because lower temperatures increase internal resistance, which reduces the current the pack can deliver to the blade motor. The effect is temporary — once the cells warm up through normal use, output returns to expected levels. If the drop is severe, bring the battery indoors for at least an hour before the first cut when ambient temperature is below 10°C.
This new pack feels warmer than my old one after a full mow — should I be concerned?
New cells run slightly warmer for the first several cycles while the chemistry settles into its operating pattern. This is normal conditioning behaviour, not a defect. After five full charge and discharge cycles, surface temperature during use should level off to what you'd expect from a healthy pack. If the pack remains noticeably hot to the touch — above approximately 50°C — after the fifth cycle, stop using it and inspect the battery housing for damage.
