Fits Xplova G3 GPS navigator; replaces OEM battery CS-GM10SL for full device restoration.
3.7V 1100mAh lithium-ion delivers 4.07Wh — adequate for multi-hour navigation tracking on active routes.
Connector seats flush into G3 battery slot; polarity marked on housing; no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell in the G3 platform; BMS accepted full charge cycle without fault codes or early cutoff.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before use — GPS performs a cold start after power interruption that takes 5-10 minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xplova G3 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Xplova G3 cycling GPS navigator. It fits directly into the G3 unit and restores power to navigation, speed tracking, and route logging functions. Voltage and capacity match the original cell specification.

  • G3 navigator fit: The G3 runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion architecture with a compact flat-pack form factor — 53.09 × 33.78 × 5.70mm. This cell matches that footprint and voltage rail, so the BMS reads charge state correctly without reconfiguration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed the protection circuit trips at the correct cutoff voltage, and verified the BMS communicates charge state to the G3 display without error flags.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the G3 on outdoors before your first ride. GPS units perform a cold start after full power removal — first satellite fix can take 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop that to under a minute once the almanac is cached.

GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the G3

Some GPS receivers reduce radio-frequency receiver sensitivity as cell voltage drops toward the lower cutoff threshold. On the G3, this can show as position drift or slower track updates in the final portion of a ride. The receiver pulls back power to the RF front-end to stay alive longer, which trades fix accuracy for battery conservation. Keeping the cell above 3.5V under load avoids this behaviour.

G3 shutting off without low-battery warning

This happens when the fuel gauge or voltage indicator loses calibration — usually after a replacement cell is fitted with a different internal resistance profile than the original. The G3 reads remaining capacity based on voltage curve, and if the curve shifts, the cutoff threshold is hit before the on-screen warning fires. Run the G3 through two full charge and discharge cycles after fitting this cell. That allows the firmware to re-map the voltage curve and trigger the warning at the correct level again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xplova G3 lost all my saved routes after I put in the new battery — is there any way to get them back?

Saved routes on the G3 are stored in flash memory, not battery-backed RAM, so a full power interruption from a battery swap should not erase them. If routes are missing, check whether the device performed a factory reset during the swap — this can happen if the power button was held during the cell change. Reconnect the G3 to Xplova's desktop software and sync from your account; any routes previously uploaded will restore from the server.

After fitting the replacement battery, my G3 is taking nearly 10 minutes to get a satellite fix — is something wrong with the unit?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery clears the GPS receiver's cached almanac and ephemeris data, forcing a cold start the next time the unit powers on. A cold start requires the receiver to download fresh satellite positioning data from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes with a clear sky view. Move outdoors away from buildings, leave the G3 powered on and stationary, and subsequent fixes will return to under a minute once the almanac is rebuilt.

My G3 drains much faster when I'm actively navigating compared to when it's just sitting idle — is the battery faulty?

The battery is working as expected. Active navigation runs the GPS receiver, backlight, and display simultaneously — this combination draws significantly more current than standby. The GPS receiver alone is the largest drain; adding turn-by-turn map rendering increases that further. Lower screen brightness to minimum and reduce map refresh rate in the G3 settings to bring active navigation current draw closer to standby levels.
