Replaces Navman PS-803262 battery for iCN720 and iCN750 GPS navigators.
3.7V 1900mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers full runtime on active navigation and standby modes.
Connector slides into the battery compartment with positive contact facing the device terminal.
We bench tested the BMS on a cold start cycle — voltage ramp was clean, no cutoff faults.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow satellite acquisition before navigation — cold start after power interruption takes 5-10 minutes for first fix versus under a minute for warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navman iCN720 / iCN750 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PS-803262)

This 3.7V 1900mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original PS-803262 battery in the Navman iCN720 and iCN750 portable GPS navigators. Both units share the same battery bay dimensions and connector, making this a direct swap. Capacity is 1900mAh (7.03Wh), matching the factory specification.

  • iCN720 and iCN750 compatibility: Both models run the same voltage rail and use an identical physical footprint — 63.90 × 31.00 × 8.00mm — with the same connector orientation and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single cell covers both units.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the iCN750 platform. The onboard BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, held charge termination correctly at 4.2V, and low-voltage cutoff triggered at the expected threshold without premature shutdown.
  • First-fix satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before driving. A cold start after full power removal can take 5–10 minutes for first lock — this is normal GPS behaviour, not a fault with the battery or unit.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the iCN720

As cell voltage drops toward the low-voltage cutoff threshold, some GPS units reduce receiver sensitivity to protect remaining power for the display and processor. On the iCN720, this can show up as position drift or slower route recalculation before the battery indicator looks critically low. The receiver draws less current at reduced sensitivity, so the device stays on longer but plots less accurately. Replacing a degraded cell restores full receiver power across the entire charge cycle.

iCN720 shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits empty

This happens when the battery gauge loses calibration — common after the original cell degrades and no longer holds voltage near its rated curve. The device reads remaining capacity from voltage, and a worn cell collapses quickly near 3.4V, hitting the cutoff before the indicator catches up. The fix is to install a new cell and run one complete discharge cycle so the device can re-map the voltage-to-capacity curve. After that cycle, the low-battery warning will fire at the correct threshold again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Navman iCN720 lost all my saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The iCN720 stores some route and POI data in battery-backed RAM, which loses power the moment the old cell is removed. Data saved to internal flash survives, but anything held only in volatile memory is gone. Before swapping the battery, export your saved routes to an SD card if the device supports it — that keeps your data intact across the power gap.

After fitting the new battery, the iCN720 took over five minutes to find a satellite signal — is something wrong with the unit?

Nothing is wrong. A full power removal forces a cold start, which means the GPS receiver has to re-download almanac and ephemeris data from scratch rather than using a cached position. This routinely takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. Subsequent power-ons will lock in under a minute once the receiver has rebuilt its satellite data cache.

Active navigation drains this battery much faster than just leaving the iCN720 on standby — why is the difference so large?

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver at full sensitivity, keeps the display lit, and processes map data continuously — all at the same time. Standby mode drops the receiver to a low-power polling state and dims or blanks the screen. Reducing display brightness in the iCN720 settings is the single most effective step to extend charge between top-ups during long drives, as the backlight is the largest current draw after the GPS receiver itself.
