Fits Zebra WT6000, WT60A0, WT6300, RS6000 mobile computers. Replaces OEM part numbers BT000262A01, BTRY-NWTRS-33MA-01, BTRY-NWTRS-33MA-02, BTRY-VC8X-20MA1-01.
3.6V Li-ion cell rated 3200mAh delivers stable voltage across full scan shifts in warehouse environments.
Slides into battery slot with single locking tab; connector orientation keyed to prevent reversed installation on dock.
We ran full charge cycles on WT6000 cradle; BMS accepted handshake without fault codes and held voltage under trigger inrush.
Place scanner in cradle for one complete charge cycle before field use—scan trigger draws peak current at low state-of-charge and can trip BMS cutoff on first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra WT6000 / WT6300 Series — 3.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT000262A01)

This 3.6V, 3200mAh Li-ion pack replaces the OEM battery in the Zebra WT6000 and WT6300 wearable mobile computers, along with the RS6000 ring scanner. It fits models WT60A0, WT6000, WT6300, and RS6000 using OEM part numbers BT000262A01, BTRY-NWTRS-33MA-01, BTRY-NWTRS-33MA-02, and BTRY-VC8X-20MA1-01.

  • WT6000 and RS6000 platform compatibility: These models share the same physical form factor, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both the wrist-mount computer and the ring scanner without any adapter or firmware change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a WT6000 unit through charge and discharge under scan-burst and wireless load. The BMS responded correctly to overvoltage and undervoltage cutoff thresholds and passed charge acceptance from the Zebra four-slot cradle without fault flags.
  • First-shift cradle conditioning: After installing this pack, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before deploying it on the floor. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum state of charge — a pre-charged cell prevents the BMS from tripping on that first heavy draw event at shift start.

Cradle showing a charging error on a freshly installed pack

Zebra multi-slot cradles use contact resistance readings to verify pack seating before initiating a charge cycle. A new pack stored for any period may have slight oxidation on the gold contact pads, or the pack may not be fully clicked into the bay. Wipe the three contact pads on the battery with a dry lint-free cloth, reseat the pack firmly until you hear the latch click, and then re-dock the unit. The cradle LED should move from amber fault to solid amber charge within a few seconds.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

Back-to-back scan triggers and simultaneous 802.11 radio polling create a combined inrush spike that can drag cell voltage below the BMS communication threshold for a fraction of a second — enough to drop the wireless session. This is most common when the cell is below 30% state of charge, because internal resistance rises as capacity depletes. Recharge before the device hits the low-battery indicator rather than running it to automatic shutdown. If drop-outs persist on a fully charged pack, check that the WT6000 is within 10 metres of the access point to reduce radio transmit power draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

My WT6000 stopped reading barcodes right after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?

The imager or laser in the WT6000 needs a stable voltage above a minimum threshold to fire correctly. If the replacement pack shipped in a low state of charge, the cell voltage may be just enough to boot the device but not enough to power the scan engine under load. Place the unit in the cradle and charge it fully before attempting any scans — the charging indicator should go from amber to green before you pull it off the dock.

The new battery seems to drain faster than expected by the end of a long warehouse shift — what causes that?

In dense pick-and-pack environments, the WT6000 is simultaneously running the imager, maintaining a wireless connection, and updating inventory middleware in near real-time. That combined draw is significantly higher than a basic standby or light-use scenario. Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval both contribute — if the device is set to aggressive network polling, reduce the interval in the Zebra device management console. Also confirm the replacement pack is 3200mAh, as lower-capacity third-party packs are sometimes mislabelled.

The WT6000 feels noticeably warm after several hours of continuous scanning — is that a battery issue?

Sustained simultaneous draw from the scan engine and the 802.11 radio generates heat inside the enclosed housing of the WT6000 wrist unit, and the battery itself produces some heat during high-rate discharge. This is normal under heavy continuous use and does not indicate a faulty pack. If the unit becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, check whether a cradle charge cycle was completed before deployment — a cell starting from a low state of charge works harder and runs hotter during the same task. Surface temperature above 45°C during use is the point at which you should remove the pack and allow it to cool before continuing.
