Fits ZTE Axon M dual-screen foldable smartphones, replaces OEM battery Li3931T44P8h686049.
3.85V at 3000mAh delivers the voltage and capacity this foldable demands across two displays.
Connector seats flush into the ZTE Axon M battery slot with a single retention clip.
We ran discharge cycles on the bench—BMS accepted USB-PD input on cycle two, fuel gauge stabilized after full discharge.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Axon M Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3931T44P8h686049)

This 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the ZTE Axon M, Axon M LTE-A, Z-01K, and Multy. The Axon M is a dual-screen foldable smartphone, and this cell slots into the main battery bay. OEM part number Li3931T44P8h686049 confirms fitment across the listed variants.

  • Dual-screen power draw: The Axon M runs two independent display panels off a single cell. Both panels share the same voltage rail, so the BMS must handle current spikes when both screens are active simultaneously. This cell matches the 3.85V nominal and the connector pinout the BMS handshake expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through full charge and discharge on the Axon M platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without flags, the fuel gauge IC initialised, and charge termination triggered correctly at top-of-charge voltage.
  • First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Axon M reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC builds its capacity model from the previous cell's charge history. After a swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge profile. Until the IC runs one complete discharge-charge cycle, the percentage reading can be off by 10–20%. One full cycle from 100% down to auto-shutdown and back to 100% resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's real capacity.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or dual-display load threshold before the fuel gauge reports 0%. Under peak load — both screens active, LTE active — a cell with any internal resistance will sag in voltage faster than the percentage indicator tracks. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell the moment rail voltage crosses the low-voltage cutoff, typically around 3.4V under load. Run the recalibration cycle described above; if shutdowns persist after two full cycles, check that the connector is fully seated and the cell is not swollen.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE Axon M won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?

Long storage at low charge drains Li-Polymer cells below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout — the battery electronically disconnects to prevent damage. Plug into a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. If the BMS recovers, the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises enough for the phone to boot. If there is no response after an hour on a wall adapter, the cell has likely dropped too far for the BMS to recover and the battery needs replacing.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement battery — the phone only slow-charges now.

The USB-PD or Quick Charge handshake between the charge IC and the BMS does not always complete on the very first charge cycle with a new cell. The BMS starts in a conservative mode and may reject the high-current protocol until it confirms cell voltage and temperature are within expected range. Charge the phone once at standard speed until it reaches 100%, then unplug and reconnect — the protocol handshake should complete normally on the second cycle.

The battery percentage on my Axon M jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, drops to 40%, then jumps back up.

Erratic percentage readings after a battery replacement come from the fuel gauge IC using a capacity model built on the old cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter tracks charge in and out, but its reference points are wrong until it re-learns the new cell. Run one uninterrupted discharge from 100% to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the fuel gauge maps its readings to the new cell's actual charge levels and the jumping stops.
