Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE F252 / F850 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3707T42P3h513651)
This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original battery in ZTE F252, F256, F850, and F851 handsets. All four models share the same battery footprint and connector, so one cell covers the full group. Capacity matches the OEM spec at 700mAh (2.59Wh).
- F252 / F256 / F850 / F851 platform fit: These four ZTE models run the same 3.7V power rail and use an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake, which is why a single replacement cell works across the whole group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the F850 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and low-voltage cutoff engaged cleanly at the expected floor.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a complete reference curve against the new cell before normal use resumes.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a steeper voltage drop under screen or modem load, the IC has no matching reference point and the phone shuts down before the display reaches 0%. The fix is one full reference cycle — discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and reported percentage tracks actual cell voltage correctly.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and the phone shows nothing when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC needs enough current to push the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, before the handset will boot.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE F850 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — why does this keep happening with the new cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the F850 is still reading against the discharge curve it mapped from your old, worn cell. When the new cell voltage drops sharply under modem or display load, the IC interprets that dip as empty and triggers shutdown — even though charge remains. Run one complete reference cycle: discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge to 100% without unplugging. After that single cycle the coulomb counter has a accurate curve for the new cell and the early cutoffs stop.
After fitting the replacement battery, the phone shows a different percentage every time I check it in the first few days — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself over the first few charge cycles after a cell swap, and percentage readings jump around until it has enough data points to build an accurate curve. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the IC the reference it needs. After two or three cycles the reported percentage stabilises and tracks in consistent steps.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my ZTE F252 — the phone just trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on some ZTE handsets defaults to a conservative constant-current profile until the BMS on the new cell has completed one full charge-discharge handshake. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full charge cycle at whatever rate the phone allows, then reconnect the charger. If fast charge still does not engage after a second full cycle, check that the original fast-charge cable and adapter are in use — the F252 will fall back to slow charge if the charger cannot negotiate the correct voltage.
