Delivers 14.8V and 4400mAh capacity—65.12Wh total energy output for standard workday runtime on MD6032 systems.
Connector seats into original battery slot with standard keyed housing; locking tab engages flush against chassis frame.
We ran full charge cycles on test MD6032 units; BMS accepted new cell firmware handshake without fault codes or cutoff errors.
After install, discharge fully to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%—this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MicroStar MD6032 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (21-91081-00)

This 14.8V 4400mAh (65.12Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original cell in the MicroStar MD6032 notebook. It fits the MD6032 platform and covers the full OEM part number range including 21-91081-00, 21-91082-00, 21-91083-00, and related variants. Voltage, connector, and BMS handshake match the original specification.

  • MD6032 platform fit: All listed OEM part numbers share the same 14.8V rail, physical connector, and BMS communication protocol used across this notebook series. Swapping between these part numbers does not require firmware changes or adapter hardware.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the MD6032 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the system board, charge current ramped normally, and the cell reached rated capacity without triggering protection cutoff.
  • Post-install calibration on the MD6032: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the system logs after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor after fitting the new cell

The MD6032 BIOS stores historical charge data in EEPROM on the battery controller. When a new cell is installed, that data does not match the new cell's charge curve, so the system flags poor health immediately. This is a data mismatch, not a cell fault. Run the full discharge-to-hibernate then uninterrupted charge cycle once, and the BIOS will update its stored learn data against the new chemistry.

MD6032 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the load threshold under combined CPU and display draw. The system cuts power to protect the cell before the gauge catches up. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles — after that the gauge IC aligns with the real voltage floor and the early shutdown stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MD6032 shows the new battery as 0% and won't charge — is the EEPROM data corrupted?

The BIOS has read stale EEPROM data from the old cell and has not yet accepted the new one. Plug in the AC adapter, leave the system off, and let the battery charge uninterrupted for a full cycle without booting. Once it reaches 100%, power on and the system board will re-initialise the fuel gauge IC against the new cell data. If the system still shows 0% after that full charge, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection breaks the BMS handshake.

The Wh rating in system information shows the wrong figure after fitting this battery — is the cell faulty?

The Wh value displayed in Windows or the BIOS is read directly from the EEPROM on the battery controller, which stores the rated figure from the original cell profile. The replacement cell's EEPROM carries its own rated Wh value, which may differ slightly from what was shown before. This is a data difference between two legitimate cell profiles, not a fault. Confirm the physical cell spec — 14.8V at 4400mAh equals 65.12Wh — and treat that as the authoritative figure.

The MD6032 fuel gauge jumps erratically between percentage levels for the first few days after the swap — what causes that?

The fuel gauge IC calibrates itself by tracking actual charge and discharge curves over several cycles. With a new cell installed, the IC has no historical data to anchor its estimates, so percentage readings jump until it builds an accurate profile. Run three complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%. After the third cycle the gauge IC has enough data to hold steady, and the percentage readings will track consistently.
