Fits Shark SV1107, SV1106, SV1112 Navigator Freestyle Pro cordless vacuums; replaces OEM battery XBT1106.
14.4V at 3000mAh delivers the voltage and capacity your motor needs to maintain suction during floor cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a positive locking tab; orientation is keyed so it only seats one way.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH pack on the SV1107 platform — BMS accepted the charge curve without fault codes and held voltage stable under sustained motor draw.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock after it reaches full capacity; Shark's trickle-charge system causes measurable capacity fade within weeks of continuous dock storage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark SV1107 / Navigator Freestyle Pro — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (XBT1106)

This is a 14.4V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Shark SV1107 and compatible cordless stick vacuums. It fits the SV1106, SV1107, SV1112, and the Navigator Freestyle Pro series, among others. The OEM part number is XBT1106.

  • SV1100 series and Navigator Freestyle Pro compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector housing, and BMS communication protocol. One cell pack covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on SV1107 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell handshake without faults, and the motor drew current within the rated band under both hard floor and carpet load conditions.
  • Dock charging discipline on Ni-MH cells: Ni-MH chemistry is particularly sensitive to trickle charge damage. Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the dock after the charge cycle completes — remove it and store it off the charger until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the SV1107

Ni-MH cells show a gradual voltage sag as they age, but the indicator LED on the SV1107 is calibrated against a healthy pack. A degraded cell drops below the motor's minimum operating voltage before the indicator registers low. The result is noticeably weaker suction while the light still shows adequate charge. Replacing the pack with a fresh 3000mAh cell restores the flat discharge curve the indicator was designed to read.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty motor. When the filter is partially blocked, airflow restriction forces the motor to draw more current than the rated threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once temperature drops. Clean or replace the filter first — if the cutout stops, that was the cause. If it continues with a clean filter, check that the replacement cell pack voltage reads at least 15.6V immediately after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Shark SV1107 lose suction well before the battery light comes on?

The SV1107's battery indicator is calibrated to a healthy Ni-MH pack. Aged cells voltage-sag early, dropping the motor below its minimum operating threshold while the indicator still reads as adequate. The vacuum loses suction but the light doesn't reflect it. Fitting a fresh 3000mAh XBT1106 pack restores the flat discharge curve the indicator relies on.

The vacuum cuts out after a few seconds on carpet, then starts again — what's causing it?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a motor fault. Carpet fibres and restricted filters force the motor to pull more amps than the BMS allows, so it cuts power to protect the cells. Check and clean the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If cutouts continue with a clean filter, measure pack voltage immediately after a full charge — it should read at least 15.6V.

My replacement XBT1106 pack seems to lose capacity faster than expected — is that normal for Ni-MH?

It usually comes down to dock charging habits. Ni-MH cells develop capacity fade significantly faster when left on continuous trickle charge. The SV1107 dock does not automatically stop charging when the pack is full. Charge the battery to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock and store it off the charger between uses.
