3GEN DL2 Defibrillator Replacement Battery 3.7V 1800mAh

Fits 3GEN DL2, DermLite DL200, and DL3 defibrillators; replaces OEM part 137419, DL200B, DL200.
Delivers 3.7V at 1800mAh capacity — sufficient for full therapy cycles and self-test routines on the DL2 platform.
Connector is micro-contact with latching tab; seats flush into the battery bay without force or adapter modification needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a DL2 simulator rig; the BMS accepted the new pack after power-on self-test and held voltage stable across defibrillation load cycles.
After installation, run the device self-test cycle without interruption — the DL2 BMS validates new cell chemistry on startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false fault alarm that clears only after a full power reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

3GEN DL2 / DermLite DL200 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (137419)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM pack in the 3GEN DL2 and DermLite DL200 series dermatoscopes. It fits the DL2, DL200, DL3, and DL3N models that share the same connector format and BMS handshake protocol. Capacity figure is taken from the product specification — 1800mAh / 6.66Wh.

  • DL2 / DL200 series compatibility: The DL2, DL200, DL3, and DL3N all run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture with a shared connector pinout and BMS communication line. Swapping between these models does not require a different cell or firmware — the same pack services the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the DL2 charge IC and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack without fault flags. The protection circuit responded correctly to overcurrent and cutoff thresholds consistent with the OEM specification.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting this battery, let the device run its full power-on self-test without interruption. The DL2 runs BMS verification at startup — cutting power during this sequence registers a false battery fault that sticks until the next clean reboot.

DL2 not completing boot sequence on a new battery

The DL2 boot sequence includes a BMS handshake that checks cell voltage against a minimum threshold before allowing the device to initialise. A new cell that has partially self-discharged in storage can sit just below that threshold, causing the device to stall mid-boot or restart in a loop. This is not a faulty battery — it is a voltage floor check. Place the battery on charge for at least two hours before the first boot attempt, and confirm the cell reads at or above 3.6V before insertion.

Self-test failure persisting after battery swap

If the DL2 reports a battery self-test failure after a confirmed swap, the BMS learn cycle has not completed. New lithium-polymer cells do not immediately match the charge profile the device expects — the charge IC applies a conservative ceiling on the first cycle. Run one full charge from flat to green indicator, then power the device on and allow the self-test to complete without interruption. The fault flag clears once the BMS logs a complete cycle with a full-charge endpoint above 4.1V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 3GEN DL2 is showing a low battery alarm right after I installed a fully charged replacement — what's happening?

The DL2's BMS compares the incoming cell against a charge-curve profile stored from the previous OEM pack. A new cell hasn't completed a learn cycle yet, so the BMS reads the voltage signature as marginal even when the cell is fully charged. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the device before treating the alarm as valid. After that cycle, the alarm threshold recalibrates to the new cell's curve and the false alert clears.

The DL2 powers on normally but shuts off unexpectedly during use — is this the battery?

In the first ten cycles, a new lithium-polymer cell has slightly elevated internal resistance, which causes a sharper voltage sag under the DL2's imaging load than a broken-in cell produces. The BMS interprets that sag as an undervoltage event and trips the protection circuit before the actual charge level is low. This behaviour settles after several charge cycles as the cell's resistance drops. Confirm the cell reads at least 3.7V at rest before each use until it has completed five full cycles.

The charge indicator on my DL2 won't reach 100% on the first charge of a new battery — is the cell defective?

It is not defective. The DL2 charge IC applies a reduced termination current on an unrecognised cell, which causes the charge algorithm to cut off early and report roughly 90–95% rather than a full green. This is a deliberate conservative limit, not a capacity fault. Discharge the device to below 3.5V, then run a second full charge — the charge IC adjusts its termination point and the indicator reaches 100% from the second cycle onward.
